Disclosed are a transformer, and a power conversion apparatus or a photovoltaic module including the same. The transformer includes a first core including a base, a first protrusion member to protrude from the base, and a first external wall spaced apart from the first protrusion member and to surround the first protrusion member, a first winding wound in the first core, a second core including a second base, a second protrusion member to protrude from the second base, and a second external wall spaced apart from the second protrusion member and to surround the second protrusion member, a second winding wound in the second core, and a barrier rib configured to separate the first winding and the second winding from each other. Thus, ease of processing is achieved and radiation of electromagnetic noise is reduced.

A photovoltaic module can include a solar cell module including a plurality of solar cells; a converter configured to convert a level of DC power input from the solar cell module; a DC-terminal capacitor configured to store DC power output from the converter; an inverter including a plurality of switching elements and configured to convert DC power from the DC-terminal capacitor into AC power; and a controller configured to control the inverter, in which the converter controls some switching elements among of the plurality of switching elements included in the inverter to perform switching at a third switching frequency, and controls other switching elements among the plurality of switching elements included in the inverter to perform switching at a forth switching frequency higher than the third switching frequency.

Photovoltaic module

Disclosed are a power converting apparatus and a photovoltaic module including the same. The photovoltaic module includes: a converter configured to convert a level of DC power; an inverter configured to convert a half sine wave voltage from the converter into an AC voltage; and a controller configured to control the converter and the inverter based on an output current and an output voltage of the inverter, wherein a plurality of switching elements in the inverter is respectively turned on once in each cycle, and wherein the controller is configured to, based on a difference between a grid voltage and an output current of the inverter, control a bidirectional current to flow to the converter. Accordingly, the power converting apparatus including the unfolding inverter is able to control a power factor.
