An oven includes a housing that defines a cavity therein, a radio wave generator coupled to the housing and configured to generate a radio wave to be transmitted to the cavity, a control unit electrically connected to the radio wave generator and configured to determine radio wave information related to an intensity, a phase, and a frequency of the radio wave to be generated by the radio wave generator, and a plurality of antennas electrically connected to the radio wave generator and configured to allow the radio wave to be radiated into the cavity. The plurality of antennas are spaced apart from one another, and the control unit is configured to determine the radio wave information for each of the plurality of antennas.

A transfer connector for a cooking appliance includes a body that extends in a first direction and defines a hollow portion therein, a base that is coupled to the body and defines a communication hole in communication with the hollow portion, an electric connection part electrically connected to an external power source and extended in the first direction and penetrating through the hollow portion and the communication hole, and a dielectric material disposed in the hollow portion between an inner circumferential surface of the body and an outer circumferential surface of the electric connection part. The inner circumferential surface of the body surrounds the dielectric material, and the dielectric material surrounds the outer circumferential surface of the electric connection part.

An oven includes a housing that defines a cooking space and that includes an upper frame defining an upper wall facing the cooking space, a heating unit disposed at the upper frame and configured to transfer heat to the cooking space, an antenna disposed at the upper frame and configured to emit, toward the cooking space, radio waves transmitted from a radio wave generator that is electrically connected to an external power source, and a forming part that protrudes upward from the upper frame and accommodates the antenna therein. An oven includes: a body part defining an inner space that has an opening in one direction, a front plate disposed along a circumference of the opening of the body part and extending in a direction intersecting with the one direction, and a door part configured to contact the front plate to cover the inner space. The door part includes a door plate configured to overlap with the inner space and the front plate in the one direction and providing a protrusion that protrudes from a central portion thereof toward the inner space, a first choke provided in an annular shape along a circumference of the protrusion, and a second choke disposed outside the first choke, provided in an annular shape along a circumference of the first choke, and configured to overlap with the front plate in the one direction.

A cooking appliance includes a housing that defines a cavity therein, a door connected to the housing and configured to open and close the cavity, a microwave (MW) heating module configured to emit microwaves into the cavity, and an induction heating (IH) module configured to emit a magnetic field towards the cavity. A radio wave radiating device includes: a radio wave supply unit extending in one direction, one end of the radio wave supply unit being connected to a power source, an earth part spaced apart from the radio wave supply unit by a predetermined distance in a direction intersecting with the one direction, extending in the one direction, one end of the earth part being connected to a ground, and a radiating element connected to another end of the radio wave supply unit and another end of the earth part, respectively, and configured to radiate a radio wave received from the radio wave supply unit. The radiating element includes a middle portion connecting the radio wave supply unit and the earth part, a first radiating portion extending in a direction away from the earth part, and a second radiating portion extending in a direction away from the radio wave supply unit.

A magnetron for a microwave oven is provided that decreases noise in an ISM band by minimizing a size of a lower end shield, and thus, minimizing EMI generation. In the magnetron for the microwave oven, as a midpoint of a side lead hole is positioned inside a virtual circle formed by points positioned at a predetermined distance from a midpoint of the shield disc and a side lead is connected in a straight line, there are advantages that a further bending process is not generated and a defective rate that occurs in the manufacturing process of the shield disc may be decreased.

Magnetron for microwave oven

Provided herein are a cooking apparatus and an operating method thereof. The cooking apparatus includes a cavity, a microwave generator to generate and output microwaves of a plurality of frequencies to heat an object within the cavity, and a controller to calculate interpolated microwave frequencies for a heating session, based on microwave frequencies calculated during a scanning session, and to calculate heating times of the interpolated microwave frequencies. Thereby, operating efficiency of the cooking apparatus is improved.

Cooking apparatus and operating method thereof

Provided herein are a door choke and a cooking apparatus including the same. The cooking apparatus includes a front plate forming the front surface of a cavity, a door to open and close the cavity, and a door choke including a first attachment member attached to the door and including at least two bent parts and a second attachment member attached to the door and including at least two bent parts so as to be separated from the first attachment member to form a space, and a bending direction of the first attachment member and a bending direction of the second attachment member are opposite to each other. Thereby, effective electromagnetic interference shielding is achieved.
