A fan motor includes a rotating shaft on which an impeller is mounted, a motor unit for driving the rotating shaft, a plurality of bearings supporting the rotating shaft, a spring serially disposed between the plurality of bearings to axially apply force to an outer ring of one of the plurality of bearings, and a cylinder brought into contact with the spring to transfer elastic pressing force of the spring to the outer ring of the bearing. Accordingly, by applying a preload to the outer ring of the bearing, a ball of the bearing can be restricted from moving axially and radially between the outer ring and an inner ring of the bearing. The spring has a structure that is surface-contactable and has a length shorter than a diameter, and does not require a separate cartridge such as a sleeve for fixing the spring.

Fan motor

A fan motor is disclosed. The fan motor includes a rotating shaft, a motor, a bearing, a bearing housing, a preload applying device, and a bush. The preload applying device is disposed between one axial end of the bearing and the bearing housing, and applies force to the one axial end of the bearing in an axial direction by using elastic force. The bush is coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the bearing and slidably mounted on an inner circumferential surface of the bearing housing in an axial direction. A protrusion is formed on one axial end portion of the bush, and a protrusion accommodating groove is formed on an axial inner surface of the bearing housing. Accordingly, the preload applying device can continuously apply an appropriate preload to the bearing, while the bush can suppress slipping of an outer ring of the bearing.

A fan motor includes a heat dissipation fin. The heat dissipation fin includes an outer ring part, an inner ring part disposed inside the outer ring part, and a connection part connecting the outer ring part and the inner ring part. The inner ring part is elastically deformed to be inclined in parallel to a rotational shaft which is inclined when axial alignment between bearings is not made. Accordingly, the heat dissipation fin can reduce a temperature of the bearing while enclosing the bearing, and improve concentricity (axial alignment) of the bearing.

A fan motor includes: a housing, a rotation shaft oriented across an inner center of the housing, an impeller located at a first side of the rotation shaft, a rotor connected to the rotation shaft and spaced apart from the impeller in an axial direction, a stator that surrounds the rotor, a first bearing located at a first end of the rotation shaft, a second bearing that is located at a second end of the rotation shaft and that is configured to rotatably support the rotation shaft, and a first bearing housing that accommodates and supports the first bearing, that is fixed inside the housing, and that is configured to guide a flow of air introduced into the housing.

A fan motor includes: a motor including a stator and a rotor, a motor housing accommodating the motor, a bearing case disposed at a lower portion of the motor housing, an impeller coupled to a rotary shaft of the motor, a vane structure disposed at a lower side of the impeller and configured to guide air, and a lead cable connector provided in the bearing case. The stator of the motor includes a core and a coil that is wound on the core, and the lead cable connector is connected to a lead cable of the coil of the stator.

A fan motor according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: an impeller a hub connected to a rotary shaft and at least one blade formed on the outer surface of the hub; a shroud surrounding the outer circumference of the impeller; and a coating layer coated on the inner circumferential surface of the shroud. The coating layer may include: a polymer having strength lower than the strength of the blade; and a plurality of beads mixed with the polymer and having strength higher than the strength of the polymer.

Fan motor and manufacturing method of the same

A fan motor includes a housing, a rotating shaft that is rotatably disposed in the housing and extends through the housing, an impeller rotatably disposed at the rotating shaft, a first vane disposed adjacent to the impeller and configured to guide a flow of air generated by the impeller, a rotor disposed at the rotating shaft and spaced apart from the impeller in an axial direction of the rotating shaft, a stator that is disposed in the housing and surrounds the rotor, the stator and the rotor defining an air gap therebetween, and a second vane coupled to the stator and disposed downstream relative to the first vane in a flow direction of the flow of air. The second vane is in contact with at least a part of an inner surface of the housing.

A motor assembly includes a first bearing installed on a rotating shaft adjacent to an impeller to support a first support part of the rotating shaft, a second bearing installed on the rotating shaft adjacent to the rotor to support a second support part of the rotating shaft, a bearing bracket receiving the first and second bearings therein, an elastic member inserted between the first bearing and the bearing bracket or between the second bearing and the bearing bracket to press either the first bearing or the second bearing to get closer to each other, and a separation preventing member installed on the bearing bracket to fix the first bearing, the second bearing and the elastic member to an inner space of the bearing bracket such that at least one portion of the separation preventing member overlaps with one of the first bearing, the second bearing and the elastic member.

Motor assembly and manufacturing method thereof

The present embodiment comprises: a rotary shaft; a rotor mounted on the rotary shaft; a stator for encompassing the outer circumference of the rotor; an impeller mounted on the rotary shaft so as to be spaced from the rotor; a bearing housing having a through-hole through which the rotary shaft passes; a rolling bearing disposed in the bearing housing and coupled to the rotary shaft; and a gas bearing disposed in the bearing housing so as to be spaced from the rolling bearing in an axial direction, and facing the outer circumference of the rotary shaft.

A motor assembly includes a rolling bearing installed on a rotation shaft between an impeller and a rotor to support a first support of the rotation shaft, and a motor housing having a stator. The motor housing has a gas bearing bracket for accommodating a second support of the rotation shaft disposed at a side opposite to the first support with respect to the rotor. The motor assembly includes a gas bearing assembly in the gas bearing bracket to support rotation of the second support of the rotation shaft. The gas bearing assembly includes a gas bearing for surrounding the second support. The gas bearing is spaced apart from the second support of the rotation shaft to define a gap therebetween when the rotation shaft rotates. The gas bearing assembly includes an elastic member interposed between the gas bearing bracket and the gas bearing to elastically support the gas bearing.

Motor assembly and method for manufacturing the same

A motor assembly includes a rotation shaft, an impeller installed at one side of the rotation shaft, a rotor mounted at the other side of the rotation shaft to be spaced apart from the impeller along an axial direction of the rotation shaft, a stator surrounding an outer face of the rotor such that the stator is spaced apart from the rotor along a radial direction of the rotation shaft, a first bearing installed at the one side of the rotation shaft between the impeller and the rotor, and a second bearing installed at the other side of the rotation shaft, opposite to the first bearing with respect to the rotor, and disposed to be axially closer to the other end of the rotation shaft than the rotor. An outer diameter of the first bearing is larger than an outer diameter of the second bearing.

An embodiment of the present disclosure discloses a motor assembly including a rotation shaft, an impeller including a hub fastened to the rotation shaft, and a plurality of blades protruding outward from an outer surface of the hub, an inlet body for surrounding an outer circumference of the impeller, and a coating layer coated on an inner surface of the inlet body, wherein at least a portion of the coating layer is ground in a form of powder by friction with the plurality of blades during rotation of the impeller.

A motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a rotary shaft; a rotor mounted on the rotary shaft; a stator surrounding an outer periphery of the rotor; an impeller mounted on the rotary shaft to be spaced apart from the rotor; a bearing housing positioned between the impeller and the rotor and formed with a through-hole through which the rotary shaft passes; and a gas bearing disposed in the bearing housing, wherein a thickness of the gas bearing is equal to or greater than 50% of a gap between an inner surface of the bearing housing and an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and is equal to or less than 0.3 mm.

Motor and manufacturing method of the same

A motor includes a bearing having a rolling member disposed between an inner ring and an outer ring, a spring connected to the outer ring, and a pusher connected to the spring and configured to move to a first position spaced apart from the inner ring by the spring. The pusher is further configured to move to a second position at which friction with the inner ring is caused by a pressure of air.
