The present disclosure relates to a display device. A display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a housing; a plurality of display elements disposed in the housing in a first mode and configured to project out of the housing in a second mode; and a driving device configured to fold the plurality of display elements in a first axial direction in the first mode, and unfold at least a portion of the plurality of display elements in the second mode to form a polyhedral display. Accordingly, it is possible to implement a display device that is folded or unfolded by using the plurality of elements.

Display device

Disclosed is an electronic device. The electronic device according to the present disclosure comprises a display provided at a position corresponding to at least one of the left and right eyes of a user, the display including a lens and an optical element provided in the lens to transfer an image toward an eyeball of a user, and an image transfer for transferring an image provided from a processor to the optical element, wherein the image transfer is capable of varying the position of the optical element to which the image is transferred based on pupil position of the user. The electronic device according to the present disclosure is associated with an artificial intelligence (AI) module, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, a device related to 5G services and the like.

Electronic device

Provided is a glass type electronic device in which an optical driving assembly is disposed in a spatially efficient position and which stably implements an optical path. The glass type electronic device includes a binocular lens provided to correspond to both eyes of a wearer, a lens frame fixed to the binocular lens and seated on a head of the wearer, an electronic component case fixed to the lens frame, an optical driving assembly mounted in the electronic component case for emitting an image light to the binocular lens, and a battery supplying power to the optical driving assembly. The electronic component case is disposed to correspond to an area between superciliary arches of the wearer.

Provided is a glass type electronic device including a binocular lens, a lens frame fixed to the binocular lens and seated on a head of the wearer, an electronic component case fixed to the lens frame, and an optical driving assembly mounted in the electronic component case and emitting light to the binocular lens. The optical driving lens can include an image source panel for generating light corresponding to a content image, an emitting lens group provided to expose an exit surface to an outside of the electronic component case and for adjusting an exit angle and a focal length of the light, and a reflective mirror provided to expose a reflection surface to an outside of the electronic component case and for reflecting the light, emitted from the emitting lens group, to the binocular lens.

In order to provide an optical device for clearly implementing augmented reality provided from a display unit, regardless of a change in a focal point of an outer mirror through which a user views, the present invention comprises: the display unit for emitting an optical beam displaying an image; transparent glass through which external light passes and which forms the path of the optical beam emitted by the display unit; and a pinhole mirror disposed to the glass, and disposed on the path of the optical beam emitted by the display unit, so as to reflect the optical beam emitted by the display unit, wherein the pinhole mirror has a polygonal shape and has an area less than that of the pupil so that an image formed by the optical beam emitted by the display unit overlaps with an image formed by the external light having been transmitted through the glass.

Optical device for implementing augmented reality

An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a light emitting unit for providing image light, and a display unit for reflecting the image light and transmitting the reflected image light to eyes of a user. The display unit includes a lens unit and a reflective surface for reflecting the image light. The reflective surface is formed of a 3-dimensional curved surface having different curvatures in a first direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, thereby correcting astigmatism. An electronic device according to the present invention may be associated with an artificial intelligence module, robot, augmented reality (AR) device, virtual reality (VR) device, and device related to 5G services.

Disclosed is an electronic device according to the present disclosure. In the electronic device according to the present disclosure, a light source unit is disposed to be parallel to a first optical axis formed when eyes of the user look straight ahead; The electronic device according to the present disclosure may be associated with an artificial intelligence module, a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, a device related to a 5G service, and the like.

Disclosed is an electronic device implementing a pin mirror-type display to address a double image problem, the electronic device including: a plate-shaped optical element forming an inner side surface directed toward a user's eyes and an outer side surface opposite to the inner side surface; an optical driving assembly allowing image light to be incident on one side in a lengthwise direction of the optical element; a reflection member provided on the other side in the lengthwise direction of the optical element so that the incident image light travels along an inside of the optical element; and a pin mirror member reflecting the reflected image light toward the reflection member to make a depth of field (DOF) deep, and disposed between a point at which the image light is incident from the optical element and a point at which the image light is reflected in the reflection member.

Disclosed is an electronic device. An electronic device according to the present invention includes: a main frame having a first opening; a display unit connected to the main frame and having a display area which may be exposed through the first opening; and a virtual reality frame movably coupled to the main frame and having a second opening to which a first lens is coupled, in which when the virtual reality frame moves to a first location where the first opening and the second opening are arranged side by side in a sight direction of a user, the user is capable of recognizing an image of the display unit as a virtual reality image through the first lens, and when the virtual reality frame moves to a second location deviated from the first location, the user is capable of recognizing the image of the display unit as an augmented reality image. Disclosed are a mobile device, an HMD and a system. A mobile device which is capable of data communication with an HMD, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a touch sensing module which is designed to recognize a touch from a user; a communication module which performs data communication with a head-mounted display (HMD); a video processor which if relative location information between the mobile device and the HMD is received from the HMD, generates extended video data on the basis of the location information; and a controller which after the generated extended video data is transmitted to the HMD via the communication module, controls the extended video data output by the HMD.

A spatial image projection apparatus including a receiver configured to receive an image signal; a display unit configured to display an image acquired by processing the image signal; a projection unit configured to project a spatial image to a prescribed space by reflecting light corresponding to the image displayed on the display unit. Further, the projection unit includes a plate having a first surface facing the display unit and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and a protrusion arranged on the first surface or the second surface of the plate. In addition, the protrusion includes first and second slopes tilted at about 45 degrees relative to the surface of the plate, and an angle between the first and second slopes is about 90 degrees.

Spatial image projection apparatus

An optical device that is capable of producing an image in the air includes a substrate having a reflective diffraction region formed into a net structure, and a light radiation unit which radiates a light beam onto one surface of the substrate. The diffraction region is capable of collecting light beams that are diffracted in the upper space of one surface of the substrate by diffracting the light beam which is incident on one surface of the substrate. Here, the light radiation unit may have a display source that generates the light beams which form the image, and a lens portion that radiates the generated light beams onto the substrate.

A spatial image projection apparatus including a receiver configured to receive an image signal; a display unit configured to display an image acquired by processing the image signal; a projection unit configured to project a spatial image to a prescribed space by transmitting or reflecting light corresponding to the image displayed on the display unit; and an optical-path length-converter located between the display unit and the projection unit so as to change an optical-path length of the image. Further, the optical-path length-converter includes a polarizer configured to transmit only specific polarized light, among the light introduced from the display unit, toward the projection unit, and to reflect the remaining light other than the specific polarized light; and a mirror configured to transmit light, introduced from the display unit, to the polarizer, and to convert the light reflected from the polarizer into specific polarized light so as to again reflect the light to the polarizer.

An apparatus for projecting a spatial image in which the spatial image with a background is projected into a space through a projection unit is discussed. The apparatus according to an embodiment includes a receiving unit to receive a spatial image and a background image, a display unit to display the spatial image and the background image and to project light, a control unit to control the display unit to display the spatial image and the background image, and a spatial image projection unit to project the spatial image and the background image by transmitting or reflecting the light. Thus, a spatial image may be viewed from every direction, and the spatial image may be projected to different positions according to images and a background image may be displayed at the same time. In addition, a user may perform interaction such as reaching of hands into the projected image.
