The method of a master base station for managing a load of a secondary base station may include establishing dual connectivity with the secondary base station, receiving a secondary base station status indication message from the secondary base station through an X2 interface, and determining whether to apply an action for reducing a load of the secondary base station based on a value of a secondary base station load information parameter included in the secondary base station status indication message.

Method for load management of base station and apparatuses thereof

A radio relay apparatus and an operating method therefor are provided. The radio relay apparatus that relays a communication signal between a base station and a terminal includes a donor unit that transmits and receives a radio frequency signal to and from the base station, and at least one service unit that transmits and receives an analog transmission signal to and from the donor unit, and transmits and receives the radio frequency signal to and from the terminal. In the analog transmission signal, an intermediate frequency signal into which the radio frequency signal is converted and a time synchronization signal extracted from the intermediate frequency signal are combined. The time synchronization signal is used by the donor unit and the at least one service unit for time division duplex communication (TDD) synchronization control.

Radio relay apparatus and operating method therefor

Next generation in-building relay system and method

Provided are technologies for data transmission and reception using an interworking interface between heterogeneous radio access network base stations, such as between NR and LTE, for a 5G non-standalone (NSA) network. A base station for controlling downlink data transmission may include a controller configured to setting up an X2 interface for transmitting the downlink data to a UE by interworking with another base station, a transmitter configured to transmit downlink use data information including information indicating whether to perform retransmission of an associated downlink data packet to another base station through the X2 interface, and a receiver configured to receive downlink data transfer status information from another base station through the X2 interface.

Method and apparatus for controlling data transmission using interworking interface between NR and LTE base station

Provided are a 5G in-building relay system and a 5G in-building relay method for sharing an RF cable to provide a 5G communication service in the building. The 5G in-building relay system includes: a 5G signal providing device for converting RF signals of a 5G into IF signals and providing the IF signals through a pre-built RF cable of the building; an MHU for receiving and transmitting the IF signals; a coupling device for combining the IF signals with radio signals other than the 5G received from an ROU pre-built in the building and providing the combined signals through the RF cable; a distribution device for receiving the combined signals and separating and distributing the IF signals of the 5G from the combined signals; and a DRU for converting the distributed IF signals into millimeter-wave RF signals and wirelessly transmitting the RF signals to a 5G terminal.

The wired/wireless convergence apparatus may include a traffic monitoring unit and a wired/wireless traffic control unit. The traffic monitoring unit may be configured to monitor wireless network traffic and wired network traffic input to the in-building cloud network. The wired/wireless traffic control unit may be configured to allocate wireless network traffic resources to optical fibers on the basis of monitored information of the traffic monitoring unit and to allocate wired network traffic to idle resources remaining after allocation of the wireless network traffic.
