A liquid crystal display includes: first and second gate lines disposed on the first substrate and which respectively transmit first and second gate signals; first, second and third data lines disposed on the first substrate; a first switching element connected to the first gate line and the first data line; a second switching element connected to the first gate line and the second data line; a third switching element connected to the second gate line and the second data line; a fourth switching element connected to the second gate line and the third data line; first and second pixel electrodes respectively connected to the first and second switching and which form a first liquid crystal capacitor; and third and fourth pixel electrodes respectively connected to the third and fourth switching elements and which form a second liquid crystal capacitor.

A display device includes; a display panel, a lens substrate facing the display panel, an air layer disposed between the display panel and the lens substrate, and a light refraction portion disposed on a surface of the lens substrate facing the display panel, wherein an average refractive index of the light refraction portion taken along a plane substantially parallel to the display panel increases in a direction substantially parallel to a path of light from the display panel to the lens substrate.

A display apparatus includes a first display plate, a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on the first display plate, a second display plate, a third electrode disposed on the second display plate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first display plate and the second display plate. An optical film assembly includes a first polarization plate disposed below a liquid crystal layer and having a first absorption axis, a second polarization plate disposed above the liquid crystal layer and having a second absorption axis, an A-plate disposed between the first polarization plate and the second polarization plate, and a negative C-plate disposed between the first polarization plate and the second polarization plate.
