A system for measuring a depth of a stereoscopic image includes a display device displaying a stereoscopic image at a predetermined depth of field; a holographic camera generating an interference pattern image by sensing a wavelength and a phase of light of the stereoscopic image; and a control unit calculating a plurality of modulated image data having image information of the stereoscopic image at each depth of the plurality of depths based on the wavelength and the phase of the light, calculating edges of a field in each of the plurality of modulated image data to obtain edge detection values, calculating a modulated signal by arranging the edge detection values according to a depth in the each of the plurality of modulated image data, calculating a first maximum value of the modulated signal, and calculating a first depth corresponding to the first maximum value as the depth of field.

System and method for measuring depth of stereoscopic image

A self-interference digital holographic system obtains interference patterns of incident light using a simple geometric phase lens, and obtains a holographic image of a target object using the interference patterns. The self-interference digital holographic is fabricated simply in a low cost and in a miniaturized size, and the use thereof as actual products is extended to a wide range of applications. The phase of incident light is be changed by rotating a polarizer, independently of a change in the optical path. Phase-shifting effects are obtained with fewer errors in all wavelength ranges, and a more accurate holographic image is produced. A single birefringence hologram is obtained by a one-time image-capturing process by simultaneously forming interference patterns from phase-shifted linearly-polarized beams by space division, using a phase shifter on the basis of space division. Moving holographic images can be captured.

Self-interference digital holographic system

An apparatus for displaying a floating image is disclosed. The apparatus includes a light source that extends in a planar direction and emits light for realizing the floating image, a collecting lens, which extends parallel to the light source and refracts the light, a reflective plate, which faces the collecting lens and reflects the light that is refracted at the collective lens, and a dihedral reflector array, which extends in a planar direction and includes mirrors extending in directions intersecting each other, where a first surface of the dihedral reflector array facing the reflective plate such that the reflected light is incident on the first surface, and the reflected light is emitted from a second surface of the dihedral reflector array by being reflected by the mirrors, thereby realizing the floating image at a position spaced apart from the second surface.
