A display device includes a display panel including a first active area and a second active area that is adjacent to the first active area and slides from the first active area in the first direction. An input unit is disposed adjacent to the display panel. A hinge has a folding axis in the first direction and is configured to couple the display panel with the input unit so that the display panel and the input unit is folded on the folding axis. A first motor gear is configured to provide power for a slide operation of the second active area of the display panel. The display panel includes a first slide for sliding the second active area of the display panel in the first direction. The first motor gear is disposed on one side of the hinge in the first direction to engage with the first slide.

Housing case and display device including the same

A display device includes: a display module slid in a first direction; and a panel storage container including a guide rail guiding a sliding operation of the display module in the first direction. The display module is engaged with the guide rail in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and the guide rail includes: a first flat portion adjacent to an upper surface of the panel storage container; a second flat portion adjacent to a lower surface of the panel storage container; and a bent portion adjacent to a side surface of the panel storage container and connecting the first flat portion and the second flat portion to each other. The bent portion includes: a first bent portion bent at a first radius of curvature; and a second bent portion bent at a second radius of curvature greater than the first radius of curvature.

Display device

A display device includes: a bendable display panel including a flat area and bendable areas; and a support module disposed on the display panel, wherein the support module supports the display panel, wherein the support module includes a support plate and joints, wherein the support plate overlaps the flat area and the bendable areas and includes lattice pattern areas including lattice patterns, and wherein the joints are disposed on the support plate, are disposed to overlap with the bendable areas, and are spaced apart from one another in the first direction. Each of the joints has a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the top surface is disposed on the support plate, and the bottom surface is opposite to the top surface, and a width of each of the top surfaces of the joints is less than a width of each of the bottom surfaces of the joints.

A display device includes a display panel sliding in a first direction. A panel storage compartment is configured to accommodate the display panel therein and to assist a sliding operation of the display panel in the first direction. A plurality of segments are attached to a lower surface of the display panel, each of the plurality of segments are extended in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and are spaced apart from one another in the first direction. Bearings are disposed inside the plurality of segments and are at least partially exposed by the plurality of segments. The panel storage compartment includes guide rails engaged with the bearings.

Panel support and display device including the same

A flexible display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a display panel having a display area and a driving area, wherein a signal control chip controlling the display panel is mounted on the driving area; a first base film part disposed under the display area and including a metal layer; and a second base film part disposed under the driving area and formed to be transparent.

Flexible display device

A display device includes: a display panel; a first frame to which a first end of the display panel is fixed; and a second frame connected to the first frame, wherein the second frame is moveable in a first direction or a second direction that is opposite to the first direction with respect to the first frame. A second end of the display panel is in a moveable floating state guided by the second frame. The area of an externally exposed surface of the display panel is widened when the second frame is moved in the first direction, and is narrowed when the second frame is moved in the second direction.

Display device and operating method thereof

A display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes a display panel including a bending portion, and a folding unit supporting the display panel, the display device being capable of being in-folded and out-folded. The folding unit includes: a first supporting plate including a first supporting portion; a second supporting plate including a second supporting portion spaced apart from the first supporting portion; a first elastic member including a first wing portion protruded from the first supporting portion; and a second elastic member including a second wing portion protruded from the second supporting portion. The bending portion includes a first portion attached to the first wing portion and a second portion attached to the second wing portion.

Foldable display device

The organic light emitting diode display may comprise a cover window including a display region and a non-display region that surrounds the display region; a flexible substrate arranged on a lower portion of the cover window, and including a first region that is spaced apart from the cover window and a second region that extends from the first region toward the cover window; and an adhesive layer arranged between the cover window and the flexible substrate to make the cover window and the flexible substrate adhere to each other.

Flexible organic light emitting diode display

A foldable display device includes a flexible display panel including a first plane region, a second plane region, and a folding region positioned between the first plane region and the second plane region, a window on the flexible display panel, the window including an excess region that does not overlap the flexible display panel in at least one plane region direction of the first plane region and the second plane region based on the folding region while covering the flexible display panel, and a deformation preventing sheet overlapping the excess region of the window.
