A device with position detection includes: a first hall element; a second hall element; a differential amplifier configured to generate a subtraction voltage by differentially amplifying a first hall voltage generated by the first hall element and a second hall voltage generated by the second hall element; a summing amplifier configured to generate a sum voltage by summatively amplifying the first and second hall voltages; a comparer configured to compare a reference voltage with the subtraction voltage to generate an error voltage; and a current converter configured to generate a bias current provided to the first and second hall elements, based on the error voltage, wherein the device is configured to detect a position of a detection object based on the sum voltage.

A camera module includes a lens barrel, a driving coil disposed to face a target detection unit disposed on one side of the lens barrel, a driving device to provide a driving signal to the driving coil, and a position calculating unit including a capacitor, constituting an oscillation circuit together with the driving coil, to calculate a position of the lens barrel from an oscillation signal output by the oscillation circuit. The position calculating unit generates an alternating current (AC) signal according to a comparison result of a peak of the oscillation signal and a reference peak and calculates a position of the lens barrel according to a frequency of the AC signal.

An actuator including two or more detection targets disposed on a surface and another surface of a lens barrel, respectively, an oscillating unit including a first oscillation circuit unit including two or more oscillation circuits disposed to face the surface and a second oscillation circuit unit including two or more oscillation circuits disposed to face the other surface to output oscillation signals, and a determining unit to calculate a position of the lens barrel from the oscillation signals output from the oscillating unit. An apparatus controlling a position of a camera module includes an operating coil disposed on a housing of the camera module to face a magnetic member disposed on a lens barrel of the camera module, a driving circuit providing a driving current to the operating coil, a capacitor circuit having a capacitor value to form a resonance circuit together with the operating coil to resonate at a resonance frequency varied depending on an inductance value of the operating coil; a resonance maintaining circuit maintaining a level of a resonance signal generated by the operating coil and the capacitor circuit, a resonance frequency detecting circuit detecting a resonance frequency signal from the resonance signal generated by the operating coil and the capacitor circuit, and a control circuit configured to control the driving circuit in response to the resonance frequency signal from the resonance frequency detecting circuit.

Apparatus and method controlling position of camera module with a single coil

A camera module includes a lens barrel configured to be movable; a detection target disposed on one side of the lens barrel; an integrated coil and a sensing coil facing the detection target and disposed in a direction perpendicular to a direction of movement of the lens barrel; a driver configured to apply a driving signal to the integrated coil; and a position detector configured to detect a position of the lens barrel according to an inductance of the integrated coil and an inductance of the sensing coil, wherein a width of the integrated coil in the direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the lens barrel and a width of the sensing coil in the direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the lens barrel change in the direction of movement of the lens barrel.

An actuator for a camera module includes two or more detectable elements, the detectable elements are respectively disposed on a first and second surface of a lens barrel, an oscillating element including a first oscillation circuit unit that includes two or more oscillation circuits facing the first surface of the lens barrel, and a second oscillation circuit unit that includes two or more oscillation circuits facing the second surface of the lens barrel, and a determining device that calculates a position of the lens barrel in response to oscillation signals output from the oscillating element. The determining device is configured to calculate the position of the lens barrel based on determined frequencies of oscillation signals of the first oscillation circuit unit and the second oscillation circuit unit.

A gate driver circuit may include a driving signal generating unit generating first and second control signals based on a data signal and a fault state signal and controlling gate detection, a driving inverter operating in response to the first and second control signals to generate a gate signal and providing the gate signal to a power switch element, and a soft turn-off/gate detecting unit operating in response to the second control signal, performing a soft turn-off in the case of a fault, and detecting the gate signal to provide a detected signal.

There are provided a protection circuit and a gate driving circuit for a semiconductor switching device. The protection circuit for a semiconductor switching device includes an overcurrent determining unit operated according to a gate signal to determine whether a load current flowing through the semiconductor switching device controlling the load current is an overcurrent, a load open determining unit determining whether a load is open, on the basis of a detection value from a current detection unit detecting the load current, and an error detection unit generating a fault signal when it is determined that the overcurrent flows and the load is open, while the gate signal is in a turned on level of the semiconductor switching device.
