Disclosed herein is a low gloss thermoplastic resin composition with a soft touch surface comprising (A) about 10 to about 80% by weight of a soft rubbery aromatic vinyl copolymer resin which comprises rubber particles with a graft ratio of about 40 to about 90% and an average particle diameter of about 6 to about 20 &#x3bc;m as a dispersed phase; (B) about 4 to about 60% by weight of a rubber-modified aromatic vinyl copolymer resin; and (C) about 5 to about 80% by weight of an aromatic vinyl-vinyl cyanide copolymer resin. The molded article molded from the thermoplastic resin composition can have a soft touch surface as well as excellent low gloss and impact strength.

Disclosed herein is a thermoplastic resin composition having excellent scratch resistance and a method for preparing the same. The thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) about 80 to about 95% by weight of a terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl compound; and (B) about 5 to about 20% by weight of a butadiene rubber.

The present invention provides a weather resistant thermoplastic resin with low gloss and a method of preparing the same. The thermoplastic resin of the present invention comprises a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer (A) and a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based oligomeric prepolymer (B), and an aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer (C), wherein the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer (A) and the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based oligomeric prepolymer (B) form a network-shaped disperse phase and the aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer (C) forms a continuous phase.

Weatherable thermoplastic resin composition having excellent low gloss characteristic and method of preparing the same

The present invention provides a thermoplastic resin composition which comprises (A) a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer forming a network-shaped disperse phase; and (B) an aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer forming a continuous phase. The thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention can have an excellent low gloss characteristics while maintaining basic physical properties of a weather resistance, impact strength, thermal resistance, and delamination characteristics.

A weather resistant thermoplastic resin having excellent low gloss characteristics according to the present invention comprises a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer (A) and an aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer (B), wherein the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer (A) forms a network-shaped disperse phase, and the aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer (B) forms a continuous phase. The thermoplastic resin has excellent low gloss characteristics as well as superior weatherability, impact resistance, thermal resistance, delamination characteristics, and the like.

A thermoplastic resin of the present invention is prepared by copolymerizing conjugated diene rubber (A), rubbery aromatic copolymer (B), heat resistant aromatic vinyl compound (C), aromatic vinyl compound (D), unsaturated nitrile compound (E) and cross linking agent (F) and can have excellent heat resistance, impact strength, and low gloss.
