The memory controller is configured to store write data corresponding to a write request in a first memory block. When a map information update is required and the write request is a sequential write operation, the memory controller store, in a second memory block, store offset information related to a page of the first memory block in which the write data is lastly stored of a write data associated with a sequential write operation. The memory controller is configured to skip updating the map information of the write data associated with the sequential write operation.
