A package includes a substrate having an electronic component flip chip mounted thereto by flip chip bumps. The electronic component includes an active surface and an inactive surface. Electrically conductive columns (TSV) extend through the electronic component between the active surface and the inactive surface. A RDL structure is coupled to the inactive surface, the RDL structure redistributing the pattern of the electrically conductive columns at the inactive surface to a pattern of inactive surface RDL lands. The inactive surface RDL lands are exposed through via apertures of a package body. By using the inactive surface of the electronic component to distribute the inactive surface RDL lands, the allowable size of the electronic component is maximized.

Provided are a vertical Schottky barrier diode using a two-dimensional layered semiconductor and a fabrication method thereof, the vertical Schottky barrier diode having excellent response characteristics in a high frequency region and capable of being directly fabricated from a material having a low melting point such as glass or plastic because its fabrication process is performed at a relatively low temperature. Ice-making device for refrigerator

An ice-making device for a refrigerator including a duct providing a cold air flow path under an ice tray in which water turns into ice pieces. Uneven portions extending in a direction differing from a flow direction of cold air are formed at a lower surface of the ice tray. The duct may have a wavy surface. The surface features of the ice tray and the duct can advantageously increase contact area and contact time between cold air and the ice tray, thereby increasing the heat exchange efficiency between cold air and water contained in the ice tray.

A refrigerator includes an ice maker installed in a refrigeration compartment or a freezer. A machine compartment is located in a lower rear portion of the refrigerator and includes a valve configured to distribute water for supply to the ice maker. A water supply unit is configured to supply water from the valve to the ice maker. The water supply unit includes an ice maker tube extending to the ice maker to supply water, and a guide cap to which one end portion of the ice maker tube is fitted. Ice maker of refrigerator and method of manufacturing the same

The present disclosure describes ice tray devices and methods. In one embodiment, ice tray is included in an ice-making device of a refrigerator. The ice tray can be configured to uniformly distribute water to a plurality of ice-making spaces included in the ice tray. The ice tray can include water supply grooves that provide paths through which water is allowed to flow in the tray body. The dimensions of the water supply grooves can vary enabling control of water and ice formation depth of the water supply grooves can become gradually larger from one end portion of the tray body toward the other end portion of the tray body.

Ice tray apparatus and method

A refrigerator includes a refrigerator main body configured to define an outer shell of the refrigerator and a door configured to open and close an internal space of the refrigerator main body. The refrigerator further includes an ice-making unit provided in the door and a cold air generation unit configured to circulate a refrigerant so that a cold air is supplied to the internal space. A refrigerator includes an ice-making unit disposed in the door and can make ice through direct cooling by a refrigerant without using cold air flow. A cold air generation system operates to circulate the refrigerant for supplying a cold air flow for the refrigerator. A refrigerant pipe is installed in the refrigerator main body to branch off some refrigerant from the cold air generation system. An ice-making pipe is installed within the ice-making unit and receives the refrigerant from the refrigerant pipe. Water freezes into ice through heat transfer between the ice-making unit and the ice-making pipe containing refrigerant. A soft pipe is disposed around a hinge shaft of the refrigerator main body and the door and configured to interconnect the ice-making pipe and the refrigerant pipe in a twistable manner.
