Rights clearances management for assets, such as media assets. A rights brokerage service enables potential licensees to clears rights to use assets within designated projects, such as advertising campaign projects. The potential licensee uses an interface to select or identify an asset without necessarily accessing the asset itself. The rights holders and the rights held by each rights holder are identified based on the asset identity. A request is automatically issued to the rights holders to approve use of the asset for the project. The potential licensee may use an interface to track progress of approvals from the rights holders. Unenforceable rights are detected and approval is automatically obtained. If all enforceable rights are cleared, the asset may be committed for approval by a project manager or other authority. When approved, a license to use the asset is automatically created between the potential licensee and each of the rights holders.

Licensed rights clearance and tracking for digital assets

A management system brokers, between a seller and a buyer, at least a portion of the seller's inventory of advertisement impressions that the seller can render within a web page of internet traffic. The management system comprises a traffic block definition tool adapted to define traffic block parameters for at least two discrete traffic blocks of the advertisement placement. The traffic block parameters for each discrete traffic block comprise a volume parameter and a duration parameter. A sales management tool is adapted to associate advertisement content and a buyer compensation parameter to each salable event. An order fulfillment system: i) directs placement of highest yielding advertisement content if, for each discrete traffic block, a delivered volume of sales events is higher than its minimum fulfillment threshold; and ii) if, for any discrete traffic block, delivered volume of saleable events lower than its minimum fulfillment threshold, directs placement of the advertisement content associated with that discrete traffic block.

System and method for brokering the sale of internet advertisement inventory as discrete traffic blocks of segmented internet traffic

An auction management system brokers, between a seller and a buyer, a discrete traffic block of an ad placement. The auction management system comprises a traffic block definition tool providing workflows for obtaining traffic block parameters defining the discrete traffic block, the traffic block parameters comprising: i) an identification of the ad placement; ii) a volume parameter defining the volume of traffic included in the discrete traffic block; iii) at least one duration parameter defining an active time period during which the volume of traffic included in the discrete traffic block will be provided; and iv) an auction parameter defining an expiration time before which buyers submit offers to purchase the discrete traffic block. A listing search tool provides web pages displaying a listing of a plurality of listed discrete traffic blocks. Each listed discrete traffic block comprises a discrete traffic block with an expiration time that has not yet passed. The listing includes, for each listed discrete traffic block, the traffic block parameters associated therewith. An auction management tool provides for: i) obtaining a buyer compensation parameter from each of a plurality of buyers bidding for purchase of the discrete traffic block; and ii) designating the buyer that that provided a compensation parameter meeting selection criteria as the winning buyer. An order management system directs placement of buyer advertisement content designated by the winning bidder within the ad placement for the volume of traffic defined by the volume parameter and during the time period defined by the at least one duration parameter.

A dynamic vertical network management system is adapted to broker, between each publisher of a group of publishers and each advertiser of a group of advertisers, the sale of at least a portion of the each publisher's inventory of advertisement impressions. At least a portion of the advertisers are clients of a dynamic vertical network operator (DVN) with the DVN purchasing inventory from the publisher and utilizing such purchased inventory to fulfill advertising orders placed by the client with the DVN (network orders). A publisher data store stores, for each publisher of the group of publishers, a group of segmented ad placements. Each segmented ad placement comprises: i) a placement ID identifying an advertisement placement region within a web page; and ii) at least one distinguishing traffic attribute parameter. An advertisement-order data store stores, for each segmented ad placement, a group of advertisement orders. Upon receiving an ad request from an end user system rendering the web page, an order delivery system: i) determines the selected ad placement, ii) determines an open order for the selected ad placement meeting selection criteria, and iii) if such order is a DVN order: a) determines a client network order meeting network order criteria, and b) delivers ad content associate with the selected network order.
