Disclosed is a mobile application search method and system using a human activity knowledge database. The mobile application search system includes a user interface unit that provides an input environment to allow a user to input a user query and displays a mobile application search result related to the user query and a mobile application search engine that receives the user query from the user interface unit and searches for a mobile application related to the user query using an activity knowledge database in which a list of elements involved in achieving a plurality of goals that people desire in daily life is stored. The present invention increases the user's satisfaction by solving a word mismatching problem between a user query and a mobile application and improves mobile application search performance using a human activity knowledge database.

Provided are a method of extracting an experience-revealing sentence from a blog document and a method of classifying verbs into activity verbs and state verbs in a sentence recorded in a blog document. The method of extracting an experience sentence from a blog document includes generating a sentence classifier using a machine learning algorithm based on grammatical features, and classifying experience sentences that represent actual experiences of users and non-experience sentences that represent no experience in the blog document using the sentence classifier. By classifying sentences in a blog document into experience sentences and non-experience sentences, it is possible to extract experiences that a user has actually had or that have actually happened to a user from the document.

An information retrieval system and method, and more particularly, a query and document topic category transition analysis system and method in which a query topic category of a query input from a user as an information retrieval keyword and a document topic category of a document which a user regards as relevant and selects from information retrieval results are classified to analyze transition between the query topic category and the document topic category, and a query expansion-based information retrieval system and method using query and document topic category transition analysis in which a query input from a user is expanded using a topic category transition analysis result, and corresponding information or documents are retrieved using the expanded query are provided.

There are provided a method for managing and searching information in a mobile terminal and methodology for constructing the method. The method comprises: when a text is provided, preprocessing the provided text; extracting anchor text candidates in the preprocessed text; calculating relatedness between terms; determining ranking based on the relatedness using context information; and constructing a hypertext system for providing hypertext links to the provided text based on the ranking. Accordingly, there is provided a method for providing hypertext links in a mobile terminal, which provides information management and search function using the hypertext links, so that information in the mobile terminal can be constructed by the hypertext links, thereby promoting user's convenience.
