A display device includes silver-molybdenum alloy electrodes having high reflectivity despite annealing temperatures. The display may have a first display substrate, a second display substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first display substrate includes signal-applying modules (e.g., TFTs) disposed on a first substrate each including an output terminal configured to output a data signal, a patterned insulation layer having contact holes that expose the output terminals, and silver-molybdenum alloy electrodes (made of silver and molybdenum) electrically connected to the output terminals. The silver-molybdenum alloy electrode is employed in the display device, thereby increasing reflectivity of the display device and improving display quality of an image displayed by the display device.

Display substrate, method of manufacturing the same and display device having the same

A display substrate includes a transparent substrate, a pixel layer, an organic insulation layer, a transparent electrode and a reflective electrode. The pixel layer is formed on the transparent substrate. The pixel layer has pixel parts arranged in a matrix shape. Each of the pixel parts has a transmissive region and a reflective region. The organic insulation layer is formed on the pixel layer. The organic insulation layer has reflective patterns of decreasing size along a direction from a center of the reflective region to a periphery of the reflective region. The transparent electrode is formed on the organic insulation layer. The reflective electrode is formed on the transparent electrode such that the reflective electrode is disposed over the reflective region. Therefore reflectance efficiency of ambient light is enhanced.

A display device includes a substrate, a first color filter pixel and a second color filter pixel. The substrate includes a first pixel region and a second pixel region adjacent to the first pixel region for displaying an image. The first color filter pixel is formed in the first pixel region to change a white light into a colored light. The first color filter pixel includes a first color layer, and a second color layer on the first color layer. The second color filter pixel is formed in the second pixel region.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device having a transmissive area and a reflective area includes a first substrate, a reflective electrode formed on the first substrate, wherein the reflective electrode is disposed in the reflective area, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a plurality of color filters formed on the second substrate, wherein the plurality of color filters have light holes in the reflective area, and a common electrode formed on the second substrate, wherein an area of the tight holes is more than about 20% of an area of the color filter in the reflective area.

Transflective liquid crystal display and panel therefor

A display substrate includes a transparent substrate, a pixel layer, an organic insulation layer, a transparent electrode and a reflective electrode. The pixel layer is formed on the transparent substrate and includes pixel parts having a matrix shape. The organic insulation layer is formed on the pixel layer and includes a microlens pattern having a depth of no less than about 1.5 micrometers (&#x3bc;m) formed on an upper portion of the organic insulation layer. The transparent electrode is formed on the organic insulation layer. The reflective electrode is partially formed on the transparent electrode to define a reflective region and a transmissive region.

A method of manufacturing a thin film transistor array panel is provided, which includes forming a semiconductor layer of poly silicon, forming a gate insulating layer on the semiconductor layer, forming a conductive layer including a first metal layer and a second metal layer formed on the first metal layer, depositing and forming a photoresist pattern on the first and the second metal layer, forming a gate electrode by etching the conductive layer, wherein the gate electrode includes a double layered structure including the first metal layers having a narrower width than a width of the second metal layer, forming a source region and a drain region in the semiconductor layer by doping conductive impurities, ashing the photoresist pattern to expose a portion of the second metal, etching the exposed portion of the second metal layer, removing the photoresist pattern, and forming lightly doped drain regions having a lower concentration compared to the source region and the drain region by using the gate electrode as a doping mask.

Method of manufacturing thin film transistor array panel

A liquid crystal display device in which an integrated printed circuit board is manufactured by integrating a circuit of a gate portion with a source portion and is located on the source side of the liquid crystal panel, and a flexible circuit board according to the COF method is provided on the gate side, and the flexible circuit board is supported towards a mold frame to reduce the area and the volume which is occupied by a portion except for a screen is disclosed. The liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal display panel, an integrated printed circuit board, a flexible circuit board for transferring a gate driving signal and a data driving signal to the liquid crystal display panel, and a mold frame for receiving the liquid crystal display panel and a back light assembly. A support member for supporting the flexible circuit board towards the mold frame is provided on one side of a chassis. Since the gate side flexible circuit board is easily supported by the support member towards the mold frame, the planar area increasing of the liquid crystal display device is prevented.
