A display device includes a first display substrate, a second display substrate, display units, a dummy display unit, and a sealing element. The first display substrate includes a first base substrate including display, peripheral and intermediate areas, and a pixel circuit overlapping with the display area. The second display substrate includes a second base substrate spaced apart from the first base substrate. The display units overlap with the display area, between the first and second base substrates. Each of the display units includes a liquid crystal layer, a common electrode, and a pixel electrode connected to the pixel circuit. The dummy display unit overlaps with the intermediate area, between the first and second base substrates, and includes first and second dummy electrodes.

A display apparatus includes a first base substrate defining: an outer edge thereof at which a side surface is exposed, and an upper surface thereof connected to the outer edge; first and second guiding dams on the upper surface and extending from an inside of the first base substrate to the outer edge; a first signal line on the upper surface and extending between the first and second guiding dams from the inside of the first base substrate to the outer edge thereof; and a first side pad connected to the first signal line. Image forming apparatus and image forming method thereof

A display substrate includes a pixel electrode including a main electrode and a sub-electrode disposed apart from the main electrode and including an opening part. The display substrate includes a first switching device and a second switching device. The first switching device is connected to the main electrode. An extension electrode extends from the second switching device and overlaps the opening part. The extension electrode is connected to the sub-electrode via a contact part. Thin film transistor array panel and display apparatus having the same

A display panel includes: a first substrate including a gate line and a data line crossing the gate line, a pixel portion formed in a display region and electrically connected to the gate and the data line and a gate driving part formed on a first peripheral region and electrically connected to the gate line; a second substrate having a light blocking layer formed on an area of the second substrate corresponding to the first peripheral region; and a seal line formed between the first substrate and the second substrate to confine a liquid crystal layer therebetween, the seal line being formed in an area outside an outer peripheral edge of the display region, the area outside the outer peripheral edge of the display region being closer to an outer peripheral edge of the light blocking layer than to the outer peripheral edge of the display region.
