A coil component includes a body, a support substrate disposed within the body, a coil unit disposed on the support substrate, a noise removal unit disposed to be spaced apart from the coil unit within the body and having an end exposed to one side surface of the body, first and second external electrodes disposed to be spaced apart from each other at the body and connected to both ends of the coil unit, and a third external electrode disposed to be spaced apart from each of the first and second external electrodes within the body and connected to the noise removal unit, wherein the noise removal unit includes a wall portion disposed outside of an outermost side turn of the coil unit at the support substrate and surrounding the outermost side turn of the coil unit and a cover portion disposed on the coil unit.

Coil component

A coil component includes: a support substrate; first and second coil portions disposed on the support substrate to be spaced apart from each other; a body surrounding the support substrate and the first and second coil portions; and a plurality of external electrodes disposed on a surface of the body, wherein each of the first and second coil portions includes a coil pattern and a lead pattern connected to the coil pattern and exposed from the surface of the body, and a width of an exposed portion of the lead pattern exposed from the surface of the body is greater than a width of each of the coil pattern and the plurality of external electrodes.

Coil component having dual insulating structure

A coil component includes a support substrate, a first coil and a second coil disposed on the support substrate to be spaced apart from each other, and a body including a first core and a second core penetrating through the first coil portion and the second coil portion and spaced apart from each other. The first coil portion has a first winding portion, forming at least one turn about the first core, and a first extension portion extending from one end portion of the first winding portion to surround the first core and the second core. The second coil has a second winding portion, forming at least one turn about the second core, and a second extension portion extending from one end portion of the second winding portion to surround the first core and the second core. A separation distance between a given turn of the first coil portion and an adjacent turn of the second coil portion is different from a separation distance between adjacent turns of the first coil portion.

Coil component and method for manufacturing the same

A thin film inductor includes a body including a coil part disposed therein, wherein the coil part includes a patterned insulating film disposed on a substrate and a coil pattern formed between the patterned insulating films, the coil pattern having a lower height than the insulating film, such that the coil pattern may be formed in a structure with a high aspect ratio while having a uniform thickness, thereby increasing a cross-sectional area of the coil part and improving direct current resistance (Rdc) characteristics.

Thin film inductor and manufacturing method thereof

The present application provides a chip electronic component and a manufacturing method thereof. More particularly, there is provided a chip electronic component including a thin insulating film having a reduced width and extended up to a lower portion of a coil pattern without exposing the coil pattern such that the coil pattern has no direct contact with a magnetic material, thereby preventing a poor waveform at high frequency and increasing inductance.

Chip electronic component and manufacturing method thereof

A chip electronic component may include: a magnetic body having a coil conductive pattern part embedded therein; and an oxide insulating film formed on a surface of the coil conductive pattern part. Even in the case that the insulating film is formed to be thinner than an insulating film, it may prevent the coil conductive pattern part from being exposed, whereby a magnetic material and the coil conductive pattern part may not contact each other. Therefore, a waveform defect may be prevented at a high frequency.
