A DC-DC converter includes a first converter outputting a first power voltage in a first driving method of generating an inductor current by alternately turning on transistors in a normal mode and outputting the first power voltage in a second driving method of generating the inductor current with the number of turn-on times less than that of the first driving method in a power saving mode, a second converter outputting a second power voltage in a third driving method of generating the inductor current with the number of turn-on times less than that of the second driving method in the power saving mode and determining differently magnitudes of the second power voltage in the power saving mode and the second power voltage in the normal mode, and a mode selector supplying a mode control signal to the converters to drive the converters according to one of the modes.

A power provider includes: first, second, and third inductors; a first transistor connected to the second inductor; a second transistor connected to the third inductor; and a power integrated chip (IC) including input terminals connected to the first, second, and third inductors, and an output terminal connected to a power line. The power provider may supply the power voltage using the first inductor and the power IC when power current is less than a first reference value, supply the power voltage using the second inductor, the first transistor, and the power IC when the power current is greater than the first reference value and less than a second reference value, and supply the power voltage using the second and third inductors, the first and second transistors, and the power IC when the power current is greater than the second reference value.

A DC-DC includes a sensor, a determiner, a reference voltage controller and an output voltage controller. The sensor is configured to sense an output voltage to generate a sensed signal. The determiner is electrically connected to the sensor and is configured to determine a difference between the sensed signal and a first protection level for generating a determiner output. The reference voltage controller is electrically connected to the determiner and is configured to generate a second reference voltage based on a first reference voltage and a value of the determiner output. The output voltage controller is electrically connected to the sensor and is configured to output the output voltage based on an input voltage, a feedback voltage of the output voltage, and the second reference voltage.

The display device may include: a first transistor controlled by a first control signal to connect an input terminal to which an input voltage is applied and a first node; a second transistor controlled by a second control signal to connect a second node to which a power supply voltage is outputted and the first node; an overcharge recognition circuit configured to receive a first reference voltage, a feedback voltage, and a second reference voltage, to determine whether it is overcharged, and to output an overcharge recognition signal; and a discharge circuit configured to provide a first discharge path for discharging the power supply voltage based on an enable signal generated depending on the overcharge recognition signal.

A display device includes a display panel to display an image, a data driver to supply a data signal to the display panel, and a power supply to supply a driving voltage to the display panel through a power supply line and to supply a data driving voltage to the data driver, in which the power supply is configured to detect a voltage of the power supply line during an initial driving period during which the data driving voltage is supplied to the data driver, to supply a ground voltage to the display panel when the voltage detected from the power supply line is different from a reference voltage, and to supply the driving voltage to the power supply line after the initial driving period.

A display device includes the following elements: a display panel comprising pixels; a data driver supplying data signals to the plurality of pixels; a driving voltage supply supplying a first driving voltage to the data driver; a power supply supplying a first input driving voltage to the driving voltage supply; and a timing controller providing control signals to the data driver, the driving voltage supply, and the power supply and providing luminance information and per-second frame rate information of the display panel to the driving voltage supply. A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels and a power line, and displaying an image in a normal mode or a power saving mode, a data driver which provides a data signal to the pixels, and a power supply which supplies a source driving voltage to the data driver and supplies a first power voltage to the power line in the normal mode. The controller is configured to supply the first image data to the third display unit in response to the first shut-down control signal, and to supply the second image data to the third display unit in response to the second shut-down control signal.
