Hence, tunneling information on terminals located within the same IPv6 prefix network can be managed as one tunnel entry. Accordingly, the time consumed when retrieving a tunnel entry can be reduced.

Provided is a method for configuring a control tunnel and a direct tunnel in an IPv4 network-based IPv6 service providing system. To provide IPv6 service, when a random request terminal receives a tunnel response message from a control server by using service information downloaded from a portal server at the time of initialization, the request terminal configures a control tunnel with the control server, and is registered to the control server. The request terminal transmits and receives a direct tunnel request message and a direct tunnel response message with a counterpart terminal by using its terminal information learned during the control tunnel configuration, i.e., network position information and status information, thereby configuring a direct tunnel. Thus, IPv6 communication is made through IPv4 based IPv6 tunneling, so that IPv6 application services that are not yet widely used can easily come into wide use. Also, only software change of each terminal and a control server is required without changing existing network equipment, so that a cost burden of a service provider can be minimized.

An apparatus and a method for providing a QoS for a multi protocol label switching (MPLS) traffic are provided. Also, a QoS policy is applied to an MPLS session, and the MPLS packet is forwarded. Therefore, the QoS for transmitting the MPLS packet input to the MPLS network system can be ensured.

Apparatus and method for providing QoS for MPLS traffic

Provided is a QoS providing method using a flow label in providing multimedia service in an IPv6 network and a system applying the same. According to the method, a signal connection server extracts session information from a communication request response signal transmitted from a destination in response to a communication request signal of a source, and transmits the extracted session information to a QoS provisioning server. The QoS provisioning server receives the session information, and generates a session key including flow label, and sets QOS information corresponding to the session key. The QoS provisioning server transmits the session key and the QoS information to an IPv6 node, and transmits QoS provisioning completion information to the signal connection server. When the signal connection server receives the QoS provisioning completion information, the signal connection server transmits the received communication request response signal to the source. The IPv6 node forwards an introduced packet on the basis of the transmitted session key and the QoS information.

Method for providing QoS using flow label in providing multimedia service in IPv6 network and system applying the same

A method of generating a flow label of an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is provided. A terminal generates a flow label to have four tuple information selected from five tuple information according to the provided method when the terminal creates a header. A network device classifies flows based on the four tuple information in the flow label generated according to the provided method. Since the flow label is generated to include only selected information and the network device analyzes less amount of information to classify the flows, the processing overhead is reduced. Also, since the terminal generates the flow label with selected essential information to classify the flows, the network device can finely classify the flows. Therefore, the differentiated service can be provided.

Method of generating IPv6 flow label

The present invention provides an address analysis method for the next generation integrated network service. The address analysis method makes it possible to establish an outgoing or incoming call service in all kinds of address schemes while the integrated network interworks with a wired/wireless integrated network. The address analysis method for an integrated network service applied to an ATM, comprises the steps of: a)constructing an address analysis pointer determination database for determining an address analysis start pointer, and constructing an address analysis database for analyzing an address using the address analysis start pointer and a received address and an address information database for obtaining information of the address; b)determining an analysis start pointer in the address analysis pointer determination database by analyzing the received address information; and c)calculating an address information database link pointer by analyzing a corresponding address digit and the determined address analysis start link pointer of the address analysis database, and obtaining information of an address corresponding to the address information database link pointer.
