In accordance with an embodiment, a wireless tag communication apparatus causes a reading command specifying a first state as a flag state to be sent, to thereby acquire identification information of a wireless tag in the first state. In a case where the wireless tag communication apparatus determines the wireless tag that is a detection target whose location has not been detected as the wireless tag that is a reading target on the basis of the identification information, the wireless tag communication apparatus causes the flag state of the determined wireless tag to be rewritten from the first state to the second state. The wireless tag communication apparatus causes identification information reading command specifying a second state as the flag state to be sent, to thereby acquire the identification information only from the wireless tag that is the reading target in the second state.

According to an embodiment, a wireless tag communication device includes a first antenna that emits radio waves towards a first region of a conveyance path for wireless tags and a second antenna that emits radio waves towards a second region of the conveyance path on downstream of the first region along the conveyance path. A shield prevents the radio waves emitted from the first antenna from reaching a first portion of the first region while permitting the radio waves to reach a second portion of the first region. A controller is configured to select a tag ID read via the first antenna as a target tag ID, designate the target tag ID by communication via the second antenna, and then write tag information via the second antenna to the wireless tag corresponding to the designated target tag ID.

A wireless tag communication device includes a communication control circuit, a sensor, and a processor. The communication control circuit is configured to communicate with a wireless tag via an antenna. The sensor is configured to detect a variation amount of a direction of the antenna. According to one embodiment, a wireless-tagged label issuing apparatus includes a conveying roller to convey the label that has a wireless tag, an antenna for communicating with the wireless tag of the label, a tag reader to read a tag identification from the wireless tag via the antenna, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to compare the read tag identification to previously read tag identifications, and execute a first operation on the label if the read tag identification matches a previously read tag identification and a second operation on the label if the read tag identification does not match a previously read tag identification. For example, the first operation may be physically disabling the wireless tag, printing a voiding image on the label, or routing the label to a particular destination for invalid labels or the like.

According to an embodiment, a tag reading apparatus acquires tag data of a wireless tag to be learned without transmission from the wireless tag to be learned. The tag reading apparatus extracts a data signal from a reception signal output from an antenna that has received a radio wave from the wireless tag to be learned. The tag reading apparatus learns the extracted data signal in association with correct answer data of the wireless tag to be learned.

A commodity container includes a main body with a container space and a radio frequency reader with a communication range that covers an opening of the container space. The radio frequency reader outputs tag information based on a radio frequency signal from a wireless tag and outputs time variation information indicating a time variation of the radio frequency signal. According to one embodiment, a reading apparatus includes a shielding body, an antenna, and a reader and writer. The shielding body is formed in a box shape with an upper opening, to place an accommodating body and to shield radio waves. The antenna is provided in the shielding body to receive information from an RFID tag attached to a product that is passing through the opening. The reader and writer is connected to the antenna to read information of the product from the information received by the antenna.

A communication apparatus includes a generation unit that generates the first I signal and the first Q signal as signals that allow a carrier wave to undergo frequency shift keying with predetermined modulated data and inputs the first I signal and the first Q signal to a quadrature modulation unit. A first demodulation unit and the first decoding unit demodulate and decode first data that undergoes amplitude shift keying and is transmitted from the wireless tag. A second demodulation unit and the second decoding unit demodulate and decode second data that undergoes frequency shift keying from a wireless signal output from the wireless tag. A comparison unit compares the second data and the modulated data to each other. The processor executes, when matching between the second data and the modulated data is confirmed by the comparison unit, data processing on the first data.
