Stereoscopic image capturing apparatus

A stereoscopic imaging apparatus includes: an objective optical system that forms a subject as a real or virtual image. Light beams of the subject, emitted in different paths of the objective optical system by independent optical systems, are imaged again as a parallax image, which is converted into an image signal. A control unit moves a front-side principal point of each of the imaging optical systems, so that the ratio of the length of a perpendicular line from that front-side principal point to the optical axis of the objective optical system with respect to the length of a line connecting the point at which the perpendicular line and the optical axis intersect and the focal point of the objective optical system becomes constant.

There is provided an imaging device which detects a focused position focused on a desired subject in an imaging range in response to a detection instruction, acquires the image data obtained by imaging the subject image at the focused position as saving image data in response to a release instruction, and sequentially changing a focal position with the focused position as a reference and acquiring the image data obtained by imaging the subject image at a plurality of changed different focal positions as saving image data.

Disclosed are an optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus, a remote controller, and a content management method capable of allowing a user to easily confirm contents recorded on an optical disk, wherein an optical disk is integrally provided with a read-only RFID tag that records only a disk ID to identify the optical disk as an individual. When a content is recorded on the optical disk, a video recorder records disk management information including the disk ID of the optical disk and index information about the content. After the content is recorded, a remote controller noncontactly reads the disk ID from the RFID tag of the optical disk and transmits the disk ID to the video recorder. The video recorder extracts index information corresponding to the received disk ID from the disk management information and displays the index information in a list.

Optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus, remote controller, and content management method

A deformable mirror device compensates the spherical aberration caused by the difference of thickness of the cover layers covering recording layers of an optical disc. Circular projections are concentrically arranged on a flexible member () where a mirror surface () is formed to produce a strength distribution pattern (). Attractive force is generated as electrostatic force between an upper electrode () and a lower electrode () according to the voltage applied from a drive circuit () so as to contract the second space () and accordingly expand the first space () in order to deform the mirror surface. At this time, the profile of the mirror surface is deformed to show a desired profile that can compensate the spherical aberration by the pattern formed on the flexible member () as strength distribution pattern (). With this arrangement, only a single drive actuator () is needed to deform the mirror surface to simplify the configuration and the control operation. The mirror surface can be deformed stepwise to show predetermined deformed profiles depending on the pattern formed as strength distribution pattern (). Then, it is possible to compensate the spherical aberration for each of the three or more than three recording layers of the optical disc.

An optical pickup device and optical disc apparatus of the present invention include an optical element that prevents the incidence of light on unnecessary portions of the optical element so that stray light and noise are eliminated. The optical element include at least one substrate having a plurality of lens substrates that have embedded lenses made of a material with a higher refractive index than the at least one substrate. A shielding means limits the optical path so that incident light propagates only within a prescribed optical path formed on a light incidence-side or emission-side surface of one of the lens substrates. In addition, the shielding means is formed from an absorptive or reflective film placed in a region outside the prescribed optical path or through machining the region outside the prescribed optical path.

Optical element and manufacturing method for same

A disc cassette comprises a case in which a recording disc is rotatably received. The case has an opening through which the disc is exposed. A bridge defined by the case extends across a mouth portion of the opening. A slide bar is arranged beside the bridge in a manner to move axially therealong. A shutter is connected to the slide bar to move therewith. The shutter selectively opens and closes the opening in accordance with axial movement of the slide bar. The slide bar has a base portion which comes beside the bridge when the shutter takes the open position, and the base portion is formed with a recess which faces in a direction away from the center of the disc recording medium.

Disc cassette

A disk drive including a turntable for holding and rotating a disk, a pickup for reading information carried by a signal and/or recording information carried by a signal to the disk by moving the pickup in a radial direction of the disk that is held and rotated by the turntable, and a feed motor for moving the pickup. A drive gear section, which engages a rack of the pickup, is integrally formed with a rotor of a sled motor. An axis of rotation of the sled motor is disposed parallel to an axis of rotation of the turntable. The disk drive makes it possible to perform seeking operations at a high speed, to reduce errors in movement of the pickup, and to achieve size reduction.
