A refrigerator of the present embodiment includes: a cabinet having a storage compartment; a cooling apparatus which operates to cool the storage compartment; a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the storage space at a set time interval; and a controller for controlling the cooling apparatus, wherein the controller adjusts an output of the cooling apparatus on the basis of at least one of a first factor which is a difference value between a previous temperature of the storage compartment and a current temperature of the storage compartment and a second factor which is a difference value between a predetermined set temperature and a current temperature of the storage compartment, and adjusts the set time interval on the basis of at least one of the first factor and the second factor.

According to the present disclosure, a method for controlling a refrigerator includes operating a cooling device at a previously-determined output for cooling a storage space; measuring, by a temperature sensor, a temperature of the storage space in unit times; determining a representative temperature of the storage space based on the temperature measured by the temperature sensor, and determining whether the determined representative temperature of the storage space falls within a convergence temperature range, when an output change time is reached after the output of the cooling device is previously determined; maintaining the output of the cooling device or determining the output of the cooling device according to one of a plurality of methods including a first method and a second method when the representative temperature of the storage space falls within the convergence temperature range, and determining the output of the cooling device according to the second method when the representative temperature of the storage space is out of the convergence temperature range; and operating the cooling device at the determined output.

A method of controlling a refrigerator that includes: operating a cool air supply means with a predetermined output; a controller determining the output of the cool air supply means based on a current temperature of a storage compartment sensed by a temperature sensor while the cool air supply means operates with the predetermined output; and the controller operating the cool air supply means with the determined output. The controller determines that the output of the cool air supply means is decreased or increased when an absolute value of a difference between a previous temperature and a current temperature of the storage compartment is equal to or greater than a first reference value, and wherein the output of the cool air supply means is decreased or increased again when the absolute value of the difference between a current temperature of the storage compartment sensed again after a predetermined time has elapses and the previous temperature of the storage compartment is equal to or greater than the first reference value.

A refrigerator control method of the present embodiment comprises the steps of: operating a compressor by operating a first cooling cycle for cooling a first storage chamber, and operating a first cold air supply means for the first storage chamber; and operating the compressor by switching into a second cooling cycle for cooling a second storage chamber, and operating a second cold air supply means, when a stop condition of the first cooling cycle is satisfied, wherein the cooling capacity of the compressor in the current second cooling cycle is determined on the basis of the representative temperature of the second storage chamber during one operating cycle which includes the previous first cooling cycle and the previous second cooling cycle, and a control unit performs control such that the compressor is operated in the current second cooling cycle with the determined cooling capacity.

The method for controlling the refrigerator includes operating a first cooling cycle for cooling the first storage compartment to operate the compressor and operating a first fan for the first storage compartment, and switching the first cooling cycle to a second cooling cycle for cooling the second storage compartment to operate the compressor and operating a second fan when a stop condition of the first cooling cycle is satisfied. A temperature of each storage compartment is sensed at sampling time intervals in each cooling cycle. Further, a cooling power of the compressor is determined for each sampling time based on a sensed current temperature of the storage compartment, and the compressor is operated at the determined cooling power.

A second reference time period is determined using a representative value obtained on the basis of the temperature of the second storage chamber during the single run cycle.

A refrigerator is disclosed. The refrigerator includes a cabinet including a storage compartment, a cool air supply means configured to operate to supply cool air to the storage compartment, a temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature of the storage compartment, and a controller configured to control an output of the cool air supply means based on a difference between a set temperature and a current temperature sensed by the temperature sensor and increase or decrease in temperature of the storage compartment sensed by the temperature sensor at a predetermined time interval.

A method of controlling a refrigerator is disclosed. A refrigerator includes a cabinet including a storage compartment, a storage compartment door to open or close the storage compartment, a cool air duct provided in the storage compartment and positioned at an upper portion of the storage compartment to discharge cool air to the storage compartment, a damper to adjust an amount of cool air introduced into the cool air duct, and a door discharge duct communicating with the cool air duct and extending in a front-rear direction toward the storage compartment door to discharge cool air received from the cool air duct to the storage compartment door.
