A connector processing machine includes a feeder mechanism having a housing track for supporting connector housings between a loading zone and a punching zone. The feeder mechanism includes a feeder rail and a carriage sliding along the feeder rail by a feeder actuator between a pickup position and a drop off position. The feeder mechanism includes a walking beam movable by the carriage between the loading zone and the punching zone. The walking beam includes fingers configured to engage the connector housings to advance the connector housings. The connector processing machine includes a punch assembly having a cutter assembly coupled to the walking beam and movable with the walking beam with cutters configured to cut housing runners between the connector housings to separate the connector housings from each other.

A reel handling machine includes first and second re-reeling assemblies coupled to a frame. The re-reeling assemblies each include a reel mount supporting a first reel and a re-reel mount supporting a second reel. The re-reeling assemblies operated to unwind a product strip from the first reel and rewind the product strip on the second reel. The reel handling machine includes a reel manipulator positioned proximate to the re-reeling assemblies configured to automatically remove the second reel from the re-reel mount after the product strip is rewound on the second reel and move the second reel to a remote location.

A metal foil flaring apparatus includes a frame, a flaring mechanism mounted on the frame and having a flaring mouth adapted to open and close, and a first driver mounted on the frame and adapted to drive the flaring mouth to open and close. The flaring mouth has a cone shape gradually contracted toward a front end of the flaring mouth. The front end of the flaring mouth is adapted to be forwardly inserted in a first direction between an inner insulation layer of a cable and a metal foil wrapped around the inner insulation layer when the flaring mouth is closed, flaring the metal foil outwardly into the cone shape.

A joint crimping apparatus adapted to crimp a joint to an end of a cable includes a base, a fixed die detachably mounted on the base, a movable die configured to reciprocate relative to the fixed die, and a separation mechanism. The fixed die has a first groove adapted to receive a portion of a joint in an un-crimped state. The movable die has a second groove adapted to cooperate with the first groove to crimp the joint to the end of the cable. The separation mechanism is configured to remove the cable jammed in the second groove and crimped with the joint from the second groove.

A vision inspection system includes a rotary sorting platform rotated about an axis to rotate parts. The vision inspection system includes an inspection station positioned adjacent the rotary sorting platform including imaging devices to image different sides of the parts. The vision inspection system includes a vision inspection controller receiving images from the imaging devices and processing the images from the imaging devices based on an image analysis model. The vision inspection controller processes the images to determine inspection results for each of the parts. The vision inspection controller has an artificial intelligence learning module operated to update the image analysis model based on the images received from the imaging devices.

A gripper head for use in gripping a seal and positioning the seal in an electrical terminal. The gripper head has a mounting section, a compliant section and a gripping section. The compliant section extends from the mounting section. The compliant section has compliant legs having fixed ends proximate the mounting section and free ends. The compliant legs are spaced apart by compliant section slots. The gripping section extends from the compliant section. The gripping section has gripping legs which extend from the compliant legs. The gripping legs are spaced apart by gripping section slots. As the gripper head is moved into engagement with the seal, the gripping legs and the compliant legs are resiliently deformed causing the compliant legs and the gripping legs to apply a force to the seal to retain the seal on the gripping section of the gripper head.
