A method of setting a cutting time of a gasket during manufacture of a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is provided. The method includes: moving a reaction sheet, in which electrode layers are formed on an electrolyte membrane with a predetermined interval; photographing a boundary area between the electrolyte membrane and the electrode layer in the moving reaction sheet by using a fixed vision; setting a front end reference line and a rear end reference line between a front-most end and a rear-most end in the boundary area; calculating a trigger reference line between the front end reference line and the rear end reference line, except for a front portion of the front end reference line and a rear portion of the rear end reference line; and calculating a cutting time of a gasket based on the trigger reference line.

Method and system for setting cutting time of gasket during manufacture of MEA

A manufacturing device of a fuel cell component includes an MEA unwinder on which a fabric panel is rolled. An MEA including an electrolyte membrane and an electrode is disposed on a protective film. The manufacturing device further includes a first hot roller disposed to press an upper sub-gasket supplied to a surface of an edge of the MEA from an upper sub-gasket unwinder, a protective film winder disposed behind the first hot roller and disposed to separate the protective film from the fabric panel, a second hot roller disposed to press the lower sub-gasket supplied to another surface of the edge of the MEA from the lower sub-gasket unwinder, and an MEA winder winding the MEA to which the upper sub-gasket and the lower sub-gasket are attached, in a roll shape.

A device for manufacturing a fuel cell component is provided. The device includes a movement device configured to load a gas diffusion layer from a magazine when the gas diffusion layer is loaded to an inlet of a conveyor and unload the gas diffusion layer from an outlet side of the conveyor. An adhesive layer forming device that is disposed over the conveyor forms an adhesive layer in an edge region of the gas diffusion layer. The apparatus includes a sub-gasket feeding unit that forms first electrode windows, unrolls a first sub-gasket sheet, and supplies the sheet to a transfer line. An electrode membrane loading unit installed over the transfer line forms electrode catalyst layers on both faces of an electrolyte membrane, collects the electrode membrane sheet cut, and loads the sheets onto first electrode windows. A sub-gasket loading unit installed over the transfer line forms second electrode windows, collects a second sub-gasket sheet, and loads the sheets on the electrode membrane sheet. MEA bonding units installed on the transfer line bond the first sub-gasket sheet, the electrode membrane sheet, and the second sub-gasket sheet mutually stacked while passing the first sub-gasket sheet, the electrode membrane sheet, and the second sub-gasket sheet between a pair of hot rollers along the transfer line.

A system for inspecting quality of a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) of a fuel cell includes a bonding device configured to bond the MEA and a gas diffusion layer (GDL) to manufacture a bonded unit thereof. A transfer device adsorbs one surface of the bonded unit to transfer the bonded unit. An inspection device is disposed on one side of the bonded unit transferred by the transfer device and inspects an outer appearance of the bonded unit. A reversing device places the bonded unit thereon by the transfer device and reverses the bonded unit vertically. A loading and lifting device loads the bonded unit thereon after being transferred by the transfer device and adjusts a loading height.

Disclosed herein is a method of finding an isotopic cluster in a polypeptide and determining the monoisotopic mass of the cluster. The method comprises an algorithm for finding an isotopic cluster based on a probabilistic model, defined by each of peaks in the isotopic cluster, and determining the monoisotopic mass of the isotopic cluster. The probabilistic model of the isotopic cluster includes characteristic functions for mass, that is, a function of the ratio of two peak intensities, and a function of the product of two ratios obtained from three peaks. These characteristic functions for mass define the shape of peaks acceptable in an actual isotopic cluster for the mass of any isotopic cluster. The algorithm of finding the isotopic cluster based on the functions uses the characteristics to score the degree of the approximation of any isotopic cluster to the spectral shape of a theoretical cluster.
