A metadata display control method and system for a digital broadcast receiver for displaying metadata associated with a broadcast program on a secondary display terminal while displaying the broadcast program on a primary display terminal is provided. The metadata display control method includes receiving a broadcast program and metadata of the broadcast program at a primary display terminal from a first broadcast channel, transmitting the metadata to a secondary display terminal while displaying the broadcast program, and displaying the metadata received from the primary display terminal at the secondary display terminal.

A method and mobile terminal for acquiring a packet service in a mobile communication system is provided. A mobile terminal of the present invention determines, when it powers on, whether to register with a network on the basis of previously stored packet service usage frequency and updates, when using the packet service after registering with the network, the packet service usage frequency. The mobile terminal of the present invention can reduce waste of resources required for the packet service by reducing communication with the network. A packet service acquisition method of the present invention helps reduces a number of mobile terminals registered with a network, whereby the network can reduce its processing load, resulting in improvement of network throughput.

The motor controller includes: an activating operator receiving an operation command with a prescribed target frequency while the motor remains stationary, activating the motor at a prescribed voltage and a voltage phase, and then gradually increasing an operation frequency of the motor; an operation exchanger switching an activation operation into a normal operation when the operation frequency reaches a prescribed frequency lower than the target frequency; an evaluator evaluating a location of the rotor included in the motor and the operation frequency based on a current or voltage detected from the motor; a normal operator operating the motor in a normal manner based on the evaluated rotor location; an error determiner determining during the normal operation whether there is an error on the motor based on at least one of the detected current, the detected voltage, and the evaluated operation frequency; and an operation controller enabling the motor to stop in a case where it is determined that there is an error on the motor. The motor controller and the motor control method determine failure of location detection in a sensor-less manner and enable the motor to be stably stopped according to such a determination.

Power supply is cut off to a data transmission/reception processing block corresponding to a mode, not determined as the operation mode.
