Provided is a refrigerator having a simplified interior. The refrigerator includes a main body, a storage compartment formed in the main body and having a front side thereof open, a first door rotatably coupled to the main body to open and close a part of the storage compartment, a second door arranged below the first door and rotatably coupled to the main body to open and close a remaining part of the storage compartment, a filler rotatably provided on the first door or the second door to seal a gap between the first door and the second door in a state in which the first door and the second door are closed, a filler guide configured to guide the filler to be rotated in a first direction, and disposed on a sidewall of the storage compartment adjacent to a rotation axis of the first door and the second door, and a filler pusher configured to push the filler to be rotated in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

The present disclosure relates to a refrigerator with an improved structure capable of improving cooling efficiency. A refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a main body; a storage room formed in the main body, wherein a front part of the storage room is opened; a door configured to open or close the opened front part of the storage room; an evaporator installed in a back part of the storage room; an evaporator cover configured to partition the storage room into a storage area and a cool air generating area in which the evaporator is disposed; a first flow path formed between the evaporator and a back surface of the storage room; and a second flow path formed between the evaporator and the evaporator cover.

The refrigerator includes: a cooling apparatus including a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator; a blowing fan blowing air to cool at least one of the compressor and the condenser; a blowing guide duct guiding the air blown by the blowing fan to an exterior; and an evaporating dish installed in a lower portion of the blowing guide duct in order to collect and evaporate defrost water, the evaporating dish having an opened upper portion to communicate with a path of the blowing guide duct.

Disclosed is a refrigerator having a cool air dispersing device capable of dispersing cool air vertically. In a duct of a cooling compartment are installed many vertical dispersing blades of planar plate shape for dispersing cool air flowing thereinto vertically. A vertical shaft is installed in the duct. Many horizontal dispersing blades of planar shape are installed on the shaft. The shaft is rotated by a motor, and a cam is installed on the shaft. The cam converts a rotational movement of the motor to an elevational/de-elevational movement of the vertical dispersing blades. Thus, the cool air is dispersed horizontally and vertically in the compartment, and the temperature in the compartment is maintained uniform. Further, if the blades are stopped, the cool air can be concentrated on a specific area.

A refrigerator includes a refrigerating compartment, a freezing compartment disposed beneath the refrigerating compartment, and a vegetable compartment disposed beneath the freezing compartment. Air discharged from the refrigerating compartment is conducted to the vegetable compartment. Air discharged from the freezing and vegetable compartments is conducted to the evaporator. Before reaching the evaporator, the air discharged from the freezing and vegetable compartments is combined to create a single air flow of uniform temperature entering the evaporator. The cool air discharged from the freezing compartment is discharged therefrom through separate outlets disposed at front and rear ends of the freezing compartment.

A refrigerator includes a refrigerating compartment disposed above a freezing compartment, with a horizontal divider wall disposed therebetween. A vegetable compartment is disposed below the freezing compartment. A kimchi chamber having its own heater rests on the divider wall. An air flow discharged from the kimchi chamber is combined with an air flow discharged from the refrigerating compartment, and those combined air flows are directed to the vegetable compartment. That combining of air flows occurs within the divider wall.

A refrigerator includes a storage compartment having a door at its front end which is hinged to swing about a horizontal pivot axis disposed along a lower edge of the door. The hinge is mounted on a slidable member for forward and rearward sliding movement. The door is connected to the refrigerator body by a pivoted arm arrangement which is connected to the slidable member to cause the hinge to be slid forwardly when the door is opened, and to be slid rearwardly when the door is closed. The slidable member can be connected to a slidable food-supporting tray to cause the tray to slide along with the slidable member.

A refrigerator has a freezer compartment, a refrigeration compartment located beneath the freezer compartment, and a heating/cooling compartment located beneath the refrigeration compartment. The heating/cooling compartment contains its own heating and cooling mechanisms mounted on external surfaces of walls which form the heating/cooling compartment. The heating/cooling compartment can be used to ferment and then store food such as kimchi.
