A method of evaluating a movement tendency of ions in an electrolyte membrane includes counting inter-movement ions, counting intra-movement ions and calculating the ratio of the intra-movement ions and inter-movement of ions. The movement tendency of ions is predicted based on the ratio. In the case of evaluating a movement tendency of ions using the method, since the structure of the electrolyte membrane in which the ratios of intra-movement and inter-movement are maximized is predicted through measurement of the ratios of the intra-movement and inter-movement of ions, ohmic resistance that may occur in a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) may be reduced. The electrolyte membrane having the optimal structure predicted by the method can be applied to a fuel cell to increase its performance.

Method and apparatus for evaluating movement tendency of ions in electrolyte membrane

A hydrogen feed and recirculation device for a fuel cell system supplies hydrogen from a hydrogen tank and unreacted recirculated hydrogen discharged from a stack to the stack. The hydrogen feed and recirculation device can supply hydrogen to the stack through a first nozzle when hydrogen supply pressure is low and supply the hydrogen to the stack through a second nozzle using a Coanda Effect other than the first nozzle when the hydrogen supply pressure is high to satisfy a required hydrogen supply amount through an entire operating area of the fuel cell and prevent nozzle vibration and noise generation.

A fuel cell is provided that includes a plurality of membrane-electrode assemblies (MEAs) and a first flow channel that supplies fuel to one of the membrane-electrode assemblies in which the first flow channel is formed by a plurality of channel plates between the membrane-electrode assemblies. Additionally, a second flow channel supplies air to another one of the membrane-electrode assemblies, and a cooling channel circulates a cooling medium for cooling the first flow channel and the second flow channel. In particular, the cooling channel is provided therein with a split fin that divides the cooling channel accordingly.

A system and method for controlling dehydration of a fuel cell stack include a fuel cell stack including an anode which receives hydrogen from a hydrogen supplier and a cathode which receives air from an air supplier.
