A connector, comprises a plurality of metal terminals; and a connector housing including a box-like body portion for receiving the plurality of metal terminals, a tubular portion within which the body portion is disposed, and an interconnecting portion interconnecting end portions of the body portion and the tubular portion, wherein the interconnecting portion includes a plurality of flat plate portions spaced from one another in a direction of a periphery of each of the tubular portion and the body portion, and a mountain-shaped portion projecting toward the inner side of the tubular portion, and the flat plate portions are smaller in thickness than the tubular portion.

Connector

A headrest side connector unit mounted on a headrest of a vehicle includes a stay as a holder and a connector. The connector includes a projectionto be received in a projection insertion hole formed on the stay. A tip part of the second connector at a side to be connected to the mating connector is disposed further outside of the stay than an end of the stay near a seat. An outer surface of the tip part is arranged on the same plane as an outer surface of the end of the stay.

Connector unit

The present invention is to provide a connector connection apparatus to avoid drop of a connector without increase of cost. The connector connection apparatus includes a holder for receiving therein and holding the connector, a receiving portion main body for receiving therein and holding the holder, and a plate for fixing the holder attached to the receiving portion main body. The receiving portion main body includes a receiving hole having a diameter larger than an outer diameter of the holder and receiving the holder therein. The holder is inserted from an upper opening of the receiving hole into the receiving portion main body. The holder is then held between the plate and the receiving portion main body.

Connector connection apparatus

A connector including a first connector housing; a second connector housing to be engaged with the first connector housing; a locking arm and pair of ribs for maintaining the engagement of the first and second connector housings. The locking arm includes: an arm part extending vertically from an upper wall of the first connector housing and extending in the engaging direction; and a pair of locking parts projecting toward sides of the arm partin an extending direction from a tip of the arm part. The pair of ribs are extending vertically from a second hood, positioned nearer sides of the arm part than the pair of locking parts, and abuts on the pair of locking parts when the first and second connector housings are engaged with each other.

A connector unitincludes a seat side unit, a headrest side unit, and a guiding mechanism. The seat side unitincludes a first connector. The headrest side unitincludes a second connector. The guiding mechanismincludes a guiding riband a guiding groove. The guiding ribis projected from an outer wall of the first connector. The guiding grooveis concaved from an inner wall of the second connector. When the connectorsare connected to each other, the guiding ribis inserted into the guiding grooveto position the connectorsaround respective axes of the connectors

The connector unit includes: a first holder to be attached to a first article; a first connector to be received in the first holder; a second holder to be attached to a second article; and a second connector to be received in the second holder to be coupled with the first connector, wherein the first holder includes a hold engaging part having an arm body and a projection which engages with the first connector, the connector unit further includes: an engagement-removing part which removes an engagement between the hold engaging part and the first connector when the first and second connectors are coupled with eachother; and an entrance-permitting part provided on the second holder to allow the projection of the disengaged hold engaging part to enter therein after the first and second connectors move with respect to the first holder.

A connector is provided, by which deformation or damage of a locking arm is prevented, a secure holding force of the locking arm is assured, and the connector is stably held in a hole of a panel. The connector includes: a first connector housing to be allowed to pass through a hole of a panel; a locking arm formed on the first connector housing, the locking arm being resiliently deformed to be locked to an inner edge of the hole when the first connector housing is allowed to pass through the hole; a second connector housing to be fit to the first connector housing; and a displacement preventing means for preventing the locking arm from being displaced in a direction crossing a direction in which the locking arm is resiliently deformed.

A connecting mechanism for a connector, which can align the connector in a rotating direction and smoothly align the connector for fitting with the mating connector, has a bracket, a holder, a connector and a plate. The bracket has a receiving body receiving the holder, and receives the holder in a receiving hole arranged in the receiving body. The receiving hole has an abut rib projecting from an inner surface in a radial direction. The holder receives the connectorand has an elastically deformable first positioning arm. When the holder is received in the receiving hole and fixed in the receiving body with the plate, the abut rib abuts on the first positioning arm, and the holder is aligned in a rotating direction about the receiving body.

Connecting mechanism for a connector

The present invention is intended to provide a waterproof grommet structure which can be taken apart into its constituent pieces, i.e., a grommet, a connector, a terminal, etc., even after filled with waterproofing agent, to allow its maintenance to be performed. A waterproofing agent tankis isolated from a hollow portionwhich is consecutively arranged with a connector rib, to form a separate compartment. The waterproofing agent tankcomprises an inletformed as an aperture thereon and configured to feed waterproofing agent therethrough; a first through-holepenetrating between the inside of the tankand the hollow portionto form a link therebetween; and a second through-holepenetrating between the inside of the tankand an external environment to form a link therebetween. An electrical wireis positioned in a manner that, after passing through the hollow portion, it is positioned in a manner that, after passes through both the first through-holeand second through-holewhile tightly adhered to the first through-holeand second through-hole, and then passes through the waterproofing agent tank
