User equipment may include a transmitter coupled to an antenna to enable the user equipment to transmit data with a communication node and/or a non-terrestrial network. The user equipment may transmit using high power over a period of time such that the transmission power of the user equipment is below an emission threshold. For example, the user equipment may adjust a buffer status report to reduce uplink allocation frequency. In another example, the user equipment may determine a duty cycle and transmit the data using high power based on the duty cycle. In another example, the user equipment may determine a priority of uplink symbols and transmit certain uplink symbols using high power. In this way, the user equipment may transmit using high power and may improve transmission range to the non-terrestrial network and/or a likelihood that transmissions may be received by the network while remaining within the emission threshold.

Systems and methods for high-power transmission

User equipment may transmit and receive wireless signals to and from various communication networks. Furthermore, user equipment may indicate usage capabilities to the various wireless communication networks to enable the user equipment to transmit and/or receive wireless signals to and from at least two different communication networks. In particular, the user equipment may indicate usage capabilities of supporting both Frequency Range 2 (FR2) wireless signals of a fifth generation (5G) network and 7-24 gigahertz (GHz) wireless signals of a sixth generation (6G) network in an intermediate frequency range of the user equipment. The communication network(s) may then configure and/or schedule the user equipment based on the usage capabilities to enable the user equipment to simultaneously or non-simultaneously communicate using both the FR2 wireless signals and the 7-24 GHz wireless signals while preventing interference in the intermediate frequency range of the user equipment.

Systems and methods for network coexistence

An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for dynamic transmit power adjustment, the processing circuitry is to decode baseband configuration information received from a base station. The baseband configuration information including at least a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), resource block (RB) allocation, and carrier assignment for uplink (UL) transmission and downlink (DL) reception. A communication mode is selected based on the baseband configuration information. An additional maximum power reduction (A-MPR) is determined based on the baseband configuration information and the selected communication mode. UL data is encoded for transmission to the base station via the selected communication mode and using transmit power adjusted based on the determined A-MPR. New signaling enhancements between the UE and the network (on a Uu interface) and between two UEs (on a PC5 sidelink interface) are also disclosed.

Dynamic transmit power adjustment

Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling of direct current (DC) locations of user equipment devices (UEs) in a new radio (NR) network are provided. A wireless communication device receives, from a base station, at least one of a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration or a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration. The wireless communication device determines a direct current (DC) location based on at least one of the CA configuration or the BWP configuration. The wireless communication device transmits, to the base station, a report based on the determined DC location. The wireless communication device communicates, with the base station, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) configured based on the report.

Communication of direct current (DC) tone location

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may mitigate self-interference and intermodulation products caused by communicating over two carriers in order to improve measurements of a third carrier. The UE may determine a measurement configuration to determine the quality of the third carrier. The measurement configuration may include identifying time periods with no scheduled uplink transmissions, time periods with a transmit power below a power threshold, time periods with frequency locations with an expected lower intermodulation interference, or time periods with a scheduled reference signal transmission (e.g., a synchronization signal (SS) block). The UE may also reduce a transmit power for a time period or drop a scheduled uplink transmission in order to perform more accurate measurements on the third carrier. In some cases, a base station may schedule a measurement gap for the UE to perform the measurements.

Mobility measurements with interference caused by intermodulation products

Low complexity, high order multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) operations are described in which a user equipment (UE), configured with at least one normal performance receiver chain and at least one low-performance, low-complexity diversity receiver chain, signals a capabilities indicator identifying existence of the low-performance diversity receivers. Using the UEs capabilities, a serving base station may schedule uplink and downlink transmissions for the UE to reduce uplink-downlink collisions below a minimum threshold number. The serving base station may also take UE transmit power into consideration for signaling power control or modulation and coding schemes in order to minimize potential interference cause by UE transmissions. For channel state feedback, the UE may provide different channel feedback for uplink-downlink collision subframes and non-collision subframes.

Low complexity higher order MIMO

Systems and methods for providing indications about the TX RF non-linear impairments are disclosed. In accordance with some implementations, a first device (UE or base station) estimates EVM indications for the signal and determines if the EVM indications is above a threshold. The first device may transmit the estimated TX non-linearity indications math as AM-AM, AM-PM, Volterra coefficients, and/or other performance metrics to a second device, that transmitted the signal, when it is determined that the EVM indications is above the threshold. Systems and methods for wireless communication impairment correction are also disclosed wherein, in accordance with some implementations, a first device receives estimated TX non-linearity indications such as AM-AM, AM-PM, and/or Volterra coefficients from a second device and performs non-linear correction of a transmit signal for the second receiver device based at least in part on the EVM indications. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Over the air acquisition of radio frequency impairment information

A user equipment (UE) includes a transmit chain that includes multiple radio frequency transmitters, multiple power amplifiers and a front end (FE) through which signals are transmitted. To achieve a high power UE solution, aspects of the disclosure selectively combine two or more power amplifier outputs based on an expected power output of the UE. To synchronously combine the outputs, an output feedback signal from a feedback receiver is used to adjust a delay and a phase of one or more signals associated with the power amplifiers.

High power user equipment (HPUE) using coherently combined power amplifiers

Techniques for using a narrow filter located before a power amplifier to reduce interference in an adjacent frequency band are disclosed. In an exemplary design, an apparatus (e.g., a wireless device) includes the narrow filter and the power amplifier. The narrow filter is for a first frequency band (e.g., Band) and has a first bandwidth that is more narrow than the first frequency band. The narrow filter receives and filters an input radio frequency (RF) signal and provides a filtered RF signal. The power amplifier receives and amplifies the filtered RF signal and provides an amplified RF signal. The apparatus may further include a full filter for the first frequency band and located after the power amplifier. The full filter receives and filters the amplified RF signal and provides an output RF signal when it is selected for use.

Wireless device with filters to support co-existence in adjacent frequency bands

Systems and methods for providing indications about the TX RF non-linear impairments are disclosed. Techniques for determining power relaxation values are disclosed. The power relaxation values may be determined according to an ending resource block (RB) and a number of RBs in a contiguous allocation. In one aspect, the power relaxation values are arranged into regions based, at least in part, on transmission channel bandwidths and the distance from a protected adjacent channel. A user equipment (UE) can determine a power relaxation value for its current allocation using the ending RB index and contiguous RB length and can adjust its transmission power accordingly. Evolved NodeBs may estimate the power relaxation that a particular UE has selected in order to more accurately determine the transmit power available to the UE. Using the more accurate estimate of transmit power, the eNB may schedule the UE for uplink transmissions accordingly.

Maximum power reduction for interference control in adjacent channels

In one embodiment, the present disclosure includes a method for reducing out of band emissions. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving a network signal value from a network, and reducing a transmission signal power on the basis of the network signal value, a center frequency of a transmitting channel, a number of allocated resource blocks, and a location of the allocated resource blocks within the channel.
