The present invention relates to a punch for punching a workpiece. In particular, the invention relates to a punch including a base to stably support the punch and a support member configured to accommodate and locate the workpiece in a punching position. The support member is preferably movably connected to the base and preferably includes at least one punch member configured and operably associated with the support portion to punch the workpiece in the punching position upon an actuation movement of the support member with respect to the base. Another embodiment of the present invention relates to a punch having a paper tray oriented at an angle with respect to the base to support a sufficient portion of a sheet of paper to prevent an unsupported portion from falling over and withdrawing from the support portion. In particular, the paper tray and punch mechanism are oriented to expel paper chips such that the chips are visible to an operator as they are punched.

A binder, with a first panel and at least one fastener. The fastener has a base attached to the panel and a binding member positionable in a closed position defining a closed loop, and in an open position in which the loop is open for mounting and dismounting sheets thereto. A lock is disposed in close proximity with the base and in releasable locking association with the binding member in the closed position. A lever is operatively connected with the lock such that depressing the lever in an unlocking direction causes the lock to release the binding member from the closed position.

A binder insert with a folder portion and a clip. The folder portion defines at least one ring aperture configured and dimensioned to receive and mount to rings of a binder. The folder portion also has a first sheet defining a clip-mounting aperture and a second sheet facing the first sheet. The clip includes first and second clip portions resiliently biased toward each other. The clip is mounted to the first sheet through the clip-mounting aperture, and the first and second clip portions are disposed in a clamping position on the exterior of the first and second sheets and compressively engaged against the sheets to bias them against each other.

The present invention discloses a hand held stapler which can be used for joining sets of different numbers of paper sheets. The stapler has a stapling arm with a lever which extend past a pivot position by a length greater than the magazine of the stapler by an amount sufficient to provide a substantially increased leverage for driving staples during the stapling operation.

A stapler that has a top member and a bottom member movably connected together. The bottom member includes a convex outer surface facing downwardly and being convex in lateral and longitudinal directions with a curvature generally conformed to a user's hand, and also a support portion disposed within the convex surface, having a common boundary therewith disposed generally in a flat plane and configured for supporting the stapler stably on a flat horizontal surface when the top member is biased towards the bottom member during stapling. A stapler mechanism is connected between top and bottom members. Support ends of the top and bottom members are configured for stably supporting the stapler in a vertical position on a flat surface. The stapler also a hinge shaft pivotably connecting the pivoting members together and a hinge cover covering the hinge shaft and having a flexible tab slidably associated with one of the top and bottom members for sliding with respect thereto when the pivoting members pivot.
