A transmitter section radiates a short range wave to a space. A receiver section has a detector circuit composed of a branch circuit which receives a reflection wave of the short range wave radiated to the space by means of the transmitter section and branches in phase a signal of the reflection wave into first and second signals, a linear multiplier which linearly multiplies the first and second signals branched in phase by means of the branch circuit, and a low pass filter which samples a baseband component from an output signal from the linear multiplier. A signal processor section carries out an analyzing process of an object which exists in the space based on an output from the receiver section. A control section makes a predetermined control with respect to at least one of the transmitter section and the receiver section based on an analysis result from the signal processor section.

Short range radar small in size and low in power consumption and controlling method thereof

A digital signal offset adjusting apparatus has a capacitor causing an output terminal to pass a high frequency band of an input digital signal. A first coil has one end connected to an input terminal and a second coil has one end connected to an output. An operational amplifier has an input connected to another end of the first coil, a second input connected to a direct current voltage generator and an output connected to another end of the second coil. The operational amplifier outputs a signal obtained by subtracting and combining the low frequency band, the direct current component and a direct current bias voltage. A frequency characteristic compensating circuit is connected between a reference point and the second input of the operational amplifier. The gain of the operational amplifier increases with a component having a higher frequency from among low frequency bands of the input digital signal.

Digital signal offset adjusting apparatus and pulse pattern generator using the same

In order to enable intermittent output of an oscillation signal without essentially producing a leak in response to a pulse signal indicating a transmission timing of a radar wave, a radar oscillator is provided which employs a configuration in which an operation of an oscillating unit itself is alternately changed between an oscillating state and an oscillation stop state by a switch, rather than a configuration in which an output passage of an oscillation signal is switched to be opened and closed as in a conventional radar oscillator.

Radar oscillator capable of preventing leak of oscillation output

A high-frequency electronic switch includes a signal input terminal to which a high-frequency signal to be switched is input, a plurality of amplifying circuits with transistors, to respectively amplify the high-frequency signal to be switched sequentially, the amplifying circuits being cascade-connected in a plurality of stages to the signal input terminal, a signal output terminal which is connected to an output section of an amplifying circuit at final stage among the plurality of amplifying circuits, and which outputs the high-frequency signal to be switched sequentially amplified, a control terminal to which a pulse signal serving as a switching signal having a period of a first level and a period of a second level is input, and a supply current control circuit which makes the plurality of amplifying circuits be in an amplification-operational state by supplying operational current to each of the transistors of the plurality of amplifying circuits in a period when the pulse signal input to the control terminal is at the first level, and which makes the plurality of amplifying circuits be in a non-amplification-operational state by stopping supplying operational current to each of the transistors of the plurality of amplifying circuits in a period when the pulse signal is at the second level. The high-frequency electronic switch effectively suppresses leakage of high-frequency signal at the time of off-state by turning on/off between the signal input terminal and the signal output terminal so as to be able to be isolated substantially high-frequency likewise in accordance with a level of the pulse signal input to the control terminal.

High-frequency electronic switch, and burst wave generating device using the same and short range radar using the same

A radar oscillator has an oscillation unit and first and second switch circuits. The first switch circuit turns off an electric power supply to an amplifier in a non-input period of a pulse signal to set the oscillation unit in a non-oscillation state and turns on the electric power supply to the amplifier in an input period of the pulse signal to set the oscillation unit in an oscillation state. The second switch circuit turns on an electric power supply to an LC resonator in a period immediately before the pulse signal is input in a period in which the pulse signal is not input to supply a current to the LC resonator and turns off the electric power supply to the LC resonator at a timing at which the pulse signal is input, so that activation of an oscillation operation of the oscillation unit is accelerated.

Radar oscillator

The present invention, in order to enable intermittent output of an oscillation signal without essentially producing a leak in response to a pulse signal indicating a transmission timing of a radar wave, employs a configuration in which an operation of an oscillating unit () itself of a radar oscillator is alternately changed between an oscillating state and an oscillation stop state by a switch (), not a configuration in which an output passage of an oscillation signal is switched to be opened and closed as in a conventional radar oscillator.

A waveform shaper includes a level shifter for controlling a DC offset voltage of an input digital signal, a comparator for comparing a digital signal output from the level shifter with a predetermined reference voltage to shape a waveform of the input digital signal and output a shaped digital signal, an intermediate voltage detector for detecting and outputting an intermediate voltage of a digital signal output from the level shifter, and a first controller for receiving the intermediate voltage and the predetermined reference voltage to output a control signal for changing the DC offset voltage to the level shifter. A signal analyzer includes, in addition to the above waveform shaper, a variable delay circuit for delaying a phase of an input clock signal, a discriminator for receiving an output from the comparator and an output from the variable delay circuit to determine a code of the output signal from the comparator at a timing determined by a delayed clock signal, an error measuring unit for comparing a determination signal from the discriminator with a reference signal corresponding to the input digital signal to output an error signal, and a second controller for receiving a output from the error measuring unit, detecting an intermediate delay amount of delay amounts corresponding to adjacent error signals having maximum values, and sending the intermediate delay amount to the variable delay circuit.
