A door for a vehicle is assembled by joining three modules together to facilitate the assembly process. The three modules are an outer module including an outer panel, a window regulator module including a window pane and a window regulator, and an inner module including an interior member. The window regulator module is preliminarily assembled as an independent unit, so that it is easy to adjust the open and closed positions and the movement of the window pane. These modules are joined by fastening means extending along the direction of the thickness of the door, so that the assembly operation is made easier.

Herein disclosed is a rear vehicle body structure of an automotive vehicle which comprises a pair of rear wheel houses each covering a rear wheel and including a rear wheel house outer panel having a lower portion and a rear wheel house inner panel secured to the rear wheel house outer panel; a pair of rear fender panels each secured to the rear wheel house outer panel; and a rear floor panel having lateral ends each in part secured to the rear wheel house inner panel. The rear wheel house outer panel partially extends downwardly from the rear floor panel and projects outwardly from the lateral end of the rear floor panel and has an outer peripheral portion curved toward the axis of rotation of the rear wheel. The rear fender panel has a rear lower end in part secured to the lateral end of the rear floor panel projecting rearwardly from the rear wheel house, the rear lower end of the rear fender panel in part extending across and secured to the lower portion of the rear wheel house outer panel.

A vehicle door structure is disclosed which comprises a door inner panel, and a sash component terminating at its lower end in a reinforcing section formed therein with a recess for reception of a door lock and secured to the door inner panel.

Vehicle door structure

A reinforcement member for an automobile door is constructed of a central piece formed from a plate of a high tensile strength steel and two end pieces of a mild steel that is the same material as the material forming an inner panel of the automobile door. The two end pieces are secured to end portions of the central piece and formed with attachment areas, respectively, at which the reinforcement member is secured to the door inner panel.
