A structure for detachably attaching a wheel housing cover to a vehicle body. Provided along the reverse side of a wheel house cover ( ) on a peripheral edge are engagement parts ( E, F) having upwardly opened engagement holes ( E F ). In the vicinity of a lower part of the wheel house cover ( )are an insertion hole ( J K ) for a stud fastener at a front edge rib ( B) and a rear edge rib ( C). A vehicle body is provided with locking parts relatively and downwardly inserted into the corresponding engagement holes ( E F ) so as to lock said engagement parts ( E, F), and is further provided with nut members of receiving parts for receiving the stud fastener.

Attaching structure for wheel house cover

A structural member having a closed section of vehicle formed by plate members of light alloy, such as a front pillar of vehicle formed by an outer panel, pillar stiffener and inner pillar made of light alloy, is reinforced by a reinforcing member made of extruded light alloy material which has a substantially same outer shape as an inner shape of the closed section of the structural member and is fitted into the closed section portion. A higher reinforcing effect can be attained if the iron member such as a steel pipe and a steel plate or the like are arranged along a hollow portion of the reinforcing member

Structural member of vehicle

A midship-type vehicle, with an engine mounted in a rear portion of a vehicle body, includes an openable and closable maintenance lid covering an upper portion of an engine room, and an openable and closable rear glass gate covering an upper portion of the maintenance lid. The maintenance lid includes a lower lid body and an upper cover, both of which are pivotally supported by a common pivot. A removable roof accommodating space is defined between the lid body and the cover. After opening the rear glass gate, only the cover is opened to conduct the removal and accommodation of the roof, or the lid body and the cover are opened simultaneously to conduct maintenance on the engine. Thus, it is possible to accommodate the roof, which has been removed from the vehicle body, without sacrificing any volume in a trunk or a passenger compartment.
