A display apparatus includes: a first display area comprising a first plurality of pixels; a second display area comprising transmission areas and a second plurality of pixels, wherein: the second plurality of pixels of the second display area are arranged in a buffer display area and a normal display area of the second display area; the buffer display area is adjacent to the first display area; the normal display area is spaced apart from the first display area; and a pixel density of the normal display area is less than a pixel density of the buffer display area; and a blocking metal layer in the second display area and comprising openings corresponding to the transmission areas.

A liquid crystal display panel includes two base substrates disposed spaced apart from each other, a pixel, and at least one polarizer. The liquid crystal display panel includes a transmitting area and a light blocking area disposed adjacent to the transmitting area. The polarizer includes a reflection part overlapped with the light blocking area and a polarization part overlapped with the transmitting area. The polarization part includes lyotropic chromonic liquid crystal dye molecules aligned in a predetermined direction.

A method for manufacturing a polarizer may include forming a first barrier and a second barrier on a surface of a metal layer. The method may further include providing a copolymer layer between the first barrier and the second barrier. The method may further include processing the copolymer layer to form a processed polymer layer that includes first-polymer portions and second-polymer portions that are alternately disposed. The method may further include removing the second-polymer portions from the processed polymer layer to form polymer members that are spaced from each other. The method may further include etching the metal layer, using at least the polymer members, the first barrier, and the second barrier as a mask, to form a plurality of first-type wires and a plurality of second-type wires.
