Methods for providing a location of an object or objects of interest that may be performed by a processor of a computing device may include generating a map of an environment around the computing device by a first simultaneous location and mapping (SLAM) operation using information received from the optical sensor, identifying an object of interest in the environment of the computing device by an object recognition operation using information received from the optical sensor, determining a location of the object or objects of interest in the environment, and presenting the determined location of the object or objects of interest in the environment in response to a trigger event correlated to the object or objects of interest.

Providing a location of an object of interest

In some aspects, a user device may detect an authentication event associated with unlocking the user device. The user device may determine, based at least in part on sensor data from a sensor of the user device, an environmental context of the user device. The user device may select, from a plurality of authentication functions of the user device, an authentication function based at least in part on the environmental context of the user device. The user device may activate an authentication component that is associated with the authentication function to authenticate a user in association with unlocking the user device. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In one example, a method comprises: receiving an indication that an object is within a distance from an array of ultrasonic transducers; based on the indication, configuring a subset of the array of ultrasonic transducers to perform an ultrasonic sensing operation on the object; obtaining, from the subset of the array of ultrasonic transducers, an output of the ultrasonic sensing operation; and performing an action based on the output of the ultrasonic sensing operation.

Methods for capturing intended subjects in an image are disclosed. Various embodiments may include determining a first quantity of a bilateral body part of individuals visible in a first preview image obtained by a first camera-lens combination having a first field of view, and automatically selecting one of a plurality of camera-lens combinations to use in capturing an image based on the first quantity of the bilateral body part of individuals visible in the first preview image. Some embodiments may include selecting a wide-angle camera-lens combination in response to the determined quantity of the bilateral body part of individuals visible in a first preview image is odd. Some embodiments may include automatically switching back to a standard or default camera-lens combination if an individual added in a wide-angle image is separated from the individuals visible in the first preview image by a predetermined threshold distance or distance ratio.
