The method comprises generating a plurality of N1 requests based on the message. The method comprises transmitting, to the UE, the plurality of N1 requests to delivery of the UE policy.

Systems and methods for UE policy update management

A method for controlling an execution (signalling) of a non-3generation partnership project (3GPP) interworking function (N3IWF) is provided. The method includes splitting a signalling of a N3IWF into a control plane signalling and a user plane signalling, where the control plane signalling is handled by an N3IWF-C device and the user plane signalling is handled by an N3IWF-U device. Further, the method includes adding the E10 interface between the N3IWF-C device and the N3IWF-U device. Further, the method includes monitoring the E10 interface, whereas the E10 interface includes an E10AP. The N3IWF-C device and the N3IWF-U device enables a plurality of services between the N3IWF-C device and the N3IWF-U device. The plurality of services includes an interface management service, a bear management service, a trace management service, and a load management service.

Reducing power consumption of communication interfaces by clock frequency scaling and adaptive interleaving of polling is disclosed. In a first aspect, a control system controls transmission of a command via a serial interface at a higher clock frequency. After transmission, the control system and the interface are operated at a lower clock frequency to save power during command execution. In this aspect, a reduction in polling corresponds to the reduction in clock signal frequency. When the command is complete, the interface is operated at the higher frequency to send another command. In a second aspect, after the control system sends a command to the receiving device, polling is suspended and an execution time of the command is tracked. Polling begins when the tracked execution time almost equals an expected completion time. Both aspects disclosed above may be implemented to reduce power consumption in exchange for a small increase in latency.

A data communication apparatus has a bus interface circuit that uses a line driver to couple the apparatus to a data line of a serial bus. A processor in a slave device is configured to cause the apparatus to assert an in-band interrupt request on a serial bus operated in accordance with an IC protocol, transmit a slave address of the slave device over a data line of the serial bus during a first bus arbitration transaction conducted after the in-band interrupt request is asserted, ignore signaling state of the data line while transmitting the slave address and participate in one or more transactions conducted responsive to assertion of the in-band interrupt request and transmission of the slave address. At least one other slave device transmits an address over the data line during the first bus arbitration transaction.

Systems and methods for power conservation in a SOUNDWIRE audio bus provide a pulse density modulated (PDM) audio stream at an audio source to an encoder. The encoder has a plurality of encoding states corresponding to bit patterns. The encoder compares bits of the audio stream to available bit patterns and selects an encoding state. The audio source sends the encoding state to an audio sink and then sends data to the audio sink based on encoding using the selected encoding state. The data is sent over a non-return to zero inverted (NRZI) audio bus. As the audio stream changes bit patterns, the encoder may select different more efficient encoding states and provide updates to the audio sink of changes in the encoding state.

Systems and methods for power conservation in a SOUNDWIRE audio bus through pattern recognition

A number of ones in the difference between a current pulse code modulated (PCM) audio sample and an immediately preceding audio sample is compared to a number of ones in the current audio sample to determine which has the fewer number of ones. The audio source sends either the difference or the current audio sample, whichever has fewer ones. By reducing the number of ones sent over a non-return to zero inverted (NRZI) audio bus from an audio source to an audio sink, the number of transitions is reduced, which reduces the power consumed relative to a transmission that does not use this process.
