A liquid ejection apparatus includes a drive signal output circuit that outputs a drive signal and a print head that ejects a liquid, in which the print head includes a temperature detection portion that detects temperature information, the drive signal output circuit includes an amplification circuit that outputs an amplification modulation signal, a smoothing circuit that outputs the drive signal, and a basic drive signal output circuit that outputs a basic drive signal that is corrected based on the temperature information, and a frequency of the amplification modulation signal when the temperature detection portion detects the temperature information used for the basic drive signal output circuit to correct the basic drive signal is higher than a frequency of the amplification modulation signal when the temperature detection portion detects the temperature information not used for the basic drive signal output circuit to correct the basic drive signal.

Liquid ejection apparatus and print head

In the liquid ejection apparatus, when first temperature information detected by a first ejection module includes information regarding a temperature in a first temperature range and first ejection data is a first value, a first switch circuit of the first ejection module outputs a first drive voltage signal including a second drive waveform, when second temperature information detected by a second ejection module includes the information regarding the temperature in the first temperature range and second ejection data is the first value, a second switch circuit of the second ejection module outputs a second drive voltage signal including a first drive waveform, and when the second temperature information includes information regarding a temperature in a second temperature range and the second ejection data is the first value, the second switch circuit outputs the second drive voltage signal including a second drive waveform.

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a control circuit that outputs a control signal, a first drive signal output circuit that outputs a first drive signal, and a print head that ejects a liquid, in which the print head includes a piezoelectric element that is driven by receiving the first drive signal, a pressure chamber substrate that is provided with a plurality of pressure chambers of which volumes change due to deformation, a switch circuit that switches whether or not to supply the first drive signal to the piezoelectric element, a wiring substrate that is provided with the switch circuit, and a temperature detection portion that detects temperature information of the first pressure chamber, and the temperature information detected by the temperature detection portion is input to the control circuit in a period in which a voltage value of the first drive signal is constant.

A liquid ejecting head control circuit controls a liquid ejecting head and a switching circuit. The liquid ejecting head control circuit includes a drive signal output circuit, and a switching control circuit. The switching control circuit outputs an ejection control signal defining an amount of a liquid to be ejected from a nozzle, a switching timing signal defining switching timing of the switching circuit, and a state selection signal defining a state of the switching circuit in a control period defined by the switching timing signal. The state selection signal for a first time period for which the liquid ejecting head is controlled so as to eject the liquid from the nozzle is different from the state selection signal for a second time period for which the liquid ejecting head is controlled so as not to eject the liquid from the nozzle.

A liquid discharge head control circuit that includes a conversion circuit that converts a base diagnosis signal being a base of a first diagnosis signal into a pair of first differential signals, a first wiring, a second wiring for propagating a second reference voltage signal to be supplied to a restoration circuit, a third wiring for propagating the second reference voltage signal to be supplied to the restoration circuit, a fourth wiring for propagating one signal of a pair of first differential signals, and a fifth wiring for propagating the other signal of a pair of first differential signals. The fourth wiring and the second wiring are located to be adjacent to each other, the fifth wiring and the third wiring are located to be adjacent to each other, and the fourth wiring and the fifth wiring are located between the second wiring and the third wiring.

Liquid discharge head control circuit, liquid discharge head, and liquid discharge apparatus

A liquid discharge head control circuit includes a first wiring for propagating a first reference voltage signal to be supplied to a driving signal selection circuit, a second wiring for propagating a second reference voltage signal to be supplied to a restoration circuit, a third wiring for propagating the second reference voltage signal to be supplied to the restoration circuit, a fourth wiring for propagating one signal of a pair of first differential signals, and a fifth wiring for propagating the other signal of a pair of first differential signals. The fourth wiring and the fifth wiring are arranged side by side. The fourth wiring and the second wiring are located to be adjacent to each other, the fifth wiring and the third wiring are located to be adjacent to each other, and the fourth wiring and the fifth wiring are located between the second wiring and the third wiring.

The second terminal is disposed between the first terminal and the third terminal. The fifth terminal is disposed between the fourth terminal and the sixth terminal. The first cable and the second cable are disposed to at least partially overlap with each other in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the first terminal and the second terminal are lined up.

The first cable and the second cable are disposed to at least partially overlap with each other in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the first terminal and the second terminal are lined up. The second terminal and the fourth terminal are disposed between the first terminal and the third terminal.

A first wiring supplies a first driving signal to one end of a first piezoelectric elements; a second wiring supplies a first voltage to the other end of the first piezoelectric element to allow the first voltage to maintain the other end of the first piezoelectric element to a common electric potential; a third wiring supplies a second driving signal to one end of a second piezoelectric elements; and a fourth wiring supplies a second signal to the other end of the second piezoelectric element to allow the second signal to maintain the other end of the second piezoelectric element to the common electric potential. The second wiring is arranged between the first wiring and the fourth wiring, the fourth wiring is arranged between the second wiring and the third wiring, and the second wiring and the fourth wiring are arranged between the first wiring and the third wiring.

A liquid discharging apparatus includes a print head that has a driving element and discharges a liquid, a drive signal generation circuit that generates the drive signal based on a drive signal generation control signal for controlling generation of the drive signal, and a drive circuit substrate on which the drive signal generation circuit is provided. The drive circuit substrate has an input connector that inputs the drive signal generation control signal into the drive circuit substrate and an output connector that outputs the drive signal from the drive circuit substrate. A distance between the input connector and the output connector is shorter than a distance between the drive signal generation circuit and the input connector. The distance between the input connector and the output connector is shorter than a distance between the drive signal generation circuit and the output connector.

Liquid discharging apparatus and circuit substrate

A liquid discharging apparatus includes a print head that discharges a liquid, a carriage that is mounted on the print head, a control signal generation circuit, a drive signal generation circuit, a first cable through which a drive signal generation control signal is transmitted to the drive signal generation circuit, a second cable through which a drive signal is transmitted to the print head, a control circuit substrate on which the control signal generation circuit is provided, and a drive circuit substrate on which the drive signal generation circuit is provided. The shortest distance between the control circuit substrate and the carriage is longer than the shortest distance between the drive circuit substrate and the carriage. The drive circuit substrate is provided at a position where a region in which the carriage moves and at least a part of the drive circuit substrate overlap each other.

Liquid discharging apparatus

A printing apparatus which prints onto a recording medium by causing a print head to move in a main scanning direction includes a flexible cable through which, together with an arc-shaped loop, a signal is transmitted from a control substrate to the print head, a supporting member which is provided at a position which supports a portion of the flexible cable from the print head to the loop, and an insulating film which is provided between the supporting member and the flexible cable.

A printing device or discharge test device comprising a head that includes a nozzle discharging liquid to a medium, a temperature obtaining section that obtains a temperature related to the head, a missing-dot detecting section that detects whether or not the liquid is discharged from the nozzle, and a control section that controls the head and the missing-dot detecting section. When the temperature obtained is within a first temperature range, the head is configured to discharge the liquid to the medium and whether or not the liquid is discharged from the nozzle is detected. No such detection is made at other temperatures. When the temperature obtained is outside the first temperature range and within a second temperature range, the head is configured to discharge the liquid to the medium, and when the temperature obtained is outside the second temperature range, the liquid is not discharged to the medium.

A discharge test device including: a head that includes nozzles discharging liquid to a medium, a temperature obtaining section that obtains a temperature related to the head, an identification section that identifies an abnormal nozzle, and a control section that controls the head and the identification section so that: when the temperature obtained is within a first temperature range, the head discharges the liquid to the medium after identification of the abnormal nozzle, when the temperature is outside the first temperature range and within a larger, second temperature range, the head discharges the liquid to the medium without the abnormal nozzle being identified, and when the temperature obtained by the temperature obtaining section is outside the second temperature range, the abnormal nozzle is not identified and the liquid is not discharged to the medium.

A discharge test device including: a head that includes a plurality of nozzles discharging liquid to a medium, a temperature obtaining section that obtains a temperature related to the head, a detection electrode that faces the head with a predetermined distance therebetween, an identification section that applies a predetermined voltage to the detection electrode and identifies an abnormal nozzle on the basis of voltage change of the detection electrode generated by liquid discharge from the nozzles, and a control section that controls the head and the identification section so that: when the temperature obtained by the temperature obtaining section is within a first temperature range, the head discharges the liquid to the medium after the identification section identifies the abnormal nozzle, when the temperature obtained by the temperature obtaining section is outside the first temperature range and within a second temperature range that is larger than the first temperature range, the head discharges the liquid to the medium without the abnormal nozzle being identified by the identification section, and when the temperature obtained by the temperature obtaining section is outside the second temperature range, the abnormal nozzle is not identified and the liquid is not discharged to the medium.
