The present inventive concept relates to an aluminosilicate structure body with a novel crystal structure and, more specifically, to an aluminosilicate structure body having a novel crystal structure and a skein-shaped morphology, a method for preparing the same, and an HPLC column filled with the same as a stationary phase. The aluminosilicate structure body according to the present inventive concept has a novel crystal structure and a skein-shaped morphology, and thus has a specific surface area increased to up to 300 m/g so as to improve separation ability; and does not undergo a structural change with pH changes, and thus can be usefully used in a wider range of pH conditions than existing silica gel which has been conventionally used as a stationary phase for HPLC columns.

Disclosed are a novel 8-hydroxyquinoline acetamide compound, an 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide and use thereof. More specifically, disclosed are a novel 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide compound suitable for use as a selective chemodosimeter that shows considerably high detection sensitivity to mercury ions, an 8-hydroxyquinoline acetamide compound as an intermediate thereof, preparation thereof, and a chemodosimeter for mercury ion-selective detection, the chemodosimeter comprising the 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide compound. The compounds as disclosed herein exhibit considerably effective fluorescence specificity of an off-on type, detect a micromole of mercury ions from chemical and biological aqueous systems, and allow 100% desulfurization within 5 minutes, thus being considerably useful in the chemical industry.

The present invention provides a chiral inorganic-organic composite porous material in which cationic chiral organic molecules are present as charge-balancing cations in a porous material containing charge-balancing cations, as well as a method for preparing the same by an ion exchange process. The chiral inorganic-organic composite porous material according to the present invention is excellent in stability, selectivity and durability, and thus, will be useful as a chiral-selective catalyst or a material of separating an isomeric mixture.

A method for storing parity and rebuilding the data contents of two failed disks in an external storage subsystem comprises the steps of: proving a disk array defined as a matrix of (N-1).sup.* N including N disks each logically divided into N-1 data blocks where N is a prime number, the data blocks of a row being defined as a horizontal parity group, the data blocks existing in a rightwardly and upwardly continuous diagonal line being defined as a diagonal parity group; defining the data blocks existing in the diagonal line leftwardly and downwardly from the first data block of the (N-1) disk to the last data block of the first disk as horizontal parity blocks; defining the data blocks existing in the (N-1) row of the matrix as diagonal parity blocks; exclusive OR'ing (XORing) the contents of each of the horizontal and diagonal parity groups to obtain the parity value stored into the parity block of the corresponding horizontal or diagonal parity group; and analyzing a diagonal parity group including an error data block of the two failed disks to restore the error data block and then, the horizontal parity group including the restored error data block to restore another error data block, wherein the last analyzing step is repeated to completely rebuild the data contents of the two failed disks.
