A driving method of a plasma display device according to an exemplary embodiment groups a plurality of address electrodes extending in a first direction into a plurality of groups, and logically divides each of the groups into a plurality of sub-groups. During a first period, a first pulse is sequentially applied to the plurality of groups, and a second pulse is sequentially applied to the plurality of sub-groups included in at least one of the plurality of groups during a second period following the first period. The first and second periods are address periods for sensing in a second direction crossing the first direction.

In a plasma display and a driving method thereof, a misfiring prevention period is provided between a reset period and an address period in response to a temperature of the plasma display being higher than predetermined temperature or a weight value of a previous subfield being higher than a predetermined weight value. In the misfiring prevention period, a first voltage higher than a voltage supplied to a sustain electrode is supplied during a first period, and a voltage at a scan electrode is gradually decreased from a second voltage to a third voltage during a second period subsequent to the first period.

A plasma display includes a plurality of scan electrodes. A scan voltage is sequentially supplied to the plurality of scan electrodes, and a non-scan voltage that is higher than the scan voltage is supplied to scan electrodes to which the scan voltage is supplied. The coupling of the first end of the capacitor to the source of the transistor may form a third voltage supply node having the third voltage when the capacitor is charged.
