A foldable display apparatus includes a display panel, a cover window on the display panel, and a first layer between the display panel and the cover window, the first layer having a storage modulus lower than a storage modulus of the cover window to reduce durability defects in the apparatus. The apparatus may further include a protective part between the display panel and the cover window for distributing stress and further reducing durability defects.

Foldable display apparatus

A flexible display device can include a display area in which a plurality of sub pixels is disposed and a non-display area which encloses the display area, a flexible substrate including a folding area and a non-folding area with a folding axis, a thin film transistor disposed on the flexible substrate, an organic light emitting diode disposed on the thin film transistor, and an encapsulation layer disposed on the organic light emitting diode. Also, a touch buffer layer is disposed on the encapsulation layer, a touch sensor layer which is disposed on the encapsulation layer and includes a plurality of touch electrodes, and a dam is disposed on the flexible substrate corresponding to the non-display area. Further, an auxiliary spacer is disposed on the flexible substrate so as to overlap at least a part of an outer circumference of the dam.

A foldable stack in embodiments includes a substrate, a pattern layer being disposed along an edge portion on the substrate and comprising one or more of protrusion parts, and an adhesive layer being disposed on the substrate and covering at least a portion of the pattern layer.

A display device may include a display panel including a pad disposed on a substrate and a driving unit including a bump electrically connected to the pad. The pad may include a first layer disposed on the substrate and including a conductive material, a second layer disposed on the first layer and including patterns arranged in a first direction and spaced apart from each other, and a third layer disposed on the second layer and including a conductive material. The first layer may include portions protruding toward the substrate and respectively corresponding to the patterns.

A foldable display device may include: a display panel displaying an image; a cover window over the display panel; and a back plate under the display panel. Sizes of the plurality of protrusion patterns are smaller than sizes of the corresponding plurality of opening patterns. Therefore, it is possible to improve durability and prevent or at least reduce degradation of folding characteristics of the foldable display device.

A foldable display device includes a first non-folding area, a first folding area, a second non-folding area, a second folding area, and a third non-folding area which are sequentially located along a folding direction, and a support substrate disposed below the display panel to support the display panel and including a plurality of opening patterns corresponding to the first folding area and the second folding area, so that a stress due to the folding during the process of folding or unfolding the foldable display device is relieved and suppress a damage that can be caused in the foldable display device.

The display device includes a flexible base layer including a first region and a second region located around the first; a display unit on one surface of the first region and including a light emitting element; a driving circuit on the second region and including a plurality of first bumps arranged in a first row and a plurality of second bumps arranged in a second row, the driving circuit includes a third bump in the first row and disposed outward relative to the plurality of first bumps, a first and second reference bump each disposed at a center of the plurality of first and second bumps that are disposed along a reference line defined in a column direction vertically intersecting a row direction, the remaining first and second bumps excluding the first reference bump and the second reference bump arranged to have a preset slope with respect to the reference line.

A flexible display device includes a flexible substrate including a folding area and a non-folding area with a folding axis, a thin film transistor disposed on the flexible substrate, an organic light emitting diode disposed on the thin film transistor, an encapsulation layer disposed on the organic light emitting diode, a touch sensor layer disposed on the encapsulation layer and having a plurality of touch electrodes, a protective layer disposed on the touch sensor layer, and a plurality of shock-proof pattern units disposed on the protective layer. Each of the plurality of touch electrodes includes a plurality of metal lines, and each of the plurality of shock-proof pattern units is disposed on the protective layer so as to overlap at least a part of the plurality of metal lines.

Flexible display device

Disclosed are a stretchable touchscreen, a method for manufacturing the same and a display device including the same. After using a material having a high elastic restoring force as a substrate and determining regions where touch electrodes are formed by defining grooves thereon, touch electrodes are formed by filling the grooves with nanowires. Accordingly, it is possible to maintain elastic restoring force of the substrate and electrical connection between wires of nanowires, so that the touch electrode neither breaks nor factures despite being stretched any direction, and reliable stretchable touchscreens can be provided due to no resistance increase.
