A vehicular sensing system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle equipped with the vehicular sensing system and a plurality of zonal aggregators each receiving respective sensor data captured by at least two respective sensors of the plurality of sensors and each aggregating its received sensor data into respective aggregated sensor data. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) that receives the respective aggregated sensor data from each respective zonal aggregator. The system includes a plurality of daughter cards, each removably connected to a respective zonal aggregator. Each respective daughter card includes a respective controller that controls a respective component of the equipped vehicle and the respective component controlled by the respective controller is based on a location of the respective zonal aggregator and respective daughter card within the equipped vehicle.

Vehicular driving assistance system with adaptable/replaceable controller cards

A vehicular control system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle and an electronic control unit (ECU). The vehicular control system, responsive to processing at the ECU of sensor data captured by one of the plurality of sensors, detects an object in the path of the vehicle. The object may be one selected from the group consisting of (i) a pothole, (ii) road debris, and (iii) a speed bump. The ECU, responsive to detecting the object in the path of the vehicle, provides an output to another ECU. The other ECU, responsive to receiving the output, controls two or more of (i) braking of the vehicle, (ii) steering of the vehicle, and (iii) suspension of the vehicle.

Vehicular control system with road surface and debris detection and classification

A vehicular driver assist system includes a sensor disposed at a vehicle and a display disposed at the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes a processor for processing sensor data captured by the sensor to detect presence of objects in the field of view of the sensor. The vehicular driver assist system, responsive to processing by the processor of sensor data captured by the sensor, determines presence of a driver of the vehicle and determines a position of the driver's head. The vehicular driver assist system, responsive to determining the position of the driver's head, adjusts an orientation of the display based on the determined position of the driver's head to increase visibility of the display for the driver.

A vehicular vision system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at an interior rearview mirror assembly of a vehicle equipped with the vehicular vision system that includes electronic circuitry and associated software, a driver monitoring camera disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly and having a field of view of a driver region in a cabin of the vehicle, and an occupant monitoring camera disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly and having a field of view of an occupant region in the cabin of the vehicle. The electronic circuitry of the ECU includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by the driver monitoring camera and the occupant monitoring camera. The ECU, via processing at the ECU of image data captured by the driver monitoring camera, determines attentiveness of a driver of the vehicle.
