The present disclosure relates to a signal processing apparatus and method that enables to reduce required power. In the signal processing apparatus, a RTC of a main chip and a RTC of a power supply chip are synchronized before power supply of the main chip is stopped, and the RTC of the main chip is synchronized with the time of the RTC of the power supply chip after the power supply of the main chip is restored. In this way, the RTC uses continuous time information before and after the stop. The present disclosure is capable of being applied to, for example, a GPS module in which a digital circuit includes a plurality of chips.

Signal processing apparatus and method

The present technology relates to a reception device that can realize low power consumption. The reception device comprises an RF unit, a demodulating unit, and a control unit. The RF unit includes a filtering unit, an amplifying unit, and an A/D converter. The filtering unit allows an IF signal to pass within a predetermined band. The IF signal is acquired by mixing a reception signal received from a positioning satellite with a local oscillation signal generated by a local oscillation unit to perform frequency conversion of the reception signal into an intermediate frequency. The amplifying unit amplifies the IF signal with a predetermined amplification factor. The A/D converter converts the IF signal from an analog signal into a digital signal. The demodulating unit demodulates the digital signal. Based on the demodulation, the control unit controls an operation of the RF unit. The present technology is applicable to a GNSS receiver.

Reception device

A communication apparatus includes a Doppler shift amount calculation unit configured to calculate a Doppler shift amount of a reception signal which is obtained by modulating a signal, for which spectrum spreading is performed by using a predetermined spread code, by a predetermined carrier frequency, a frequency shift amount setting unit configured to set a frequency shift amount on the basis of the Doppler shift amount, a frequency conversion unit configured to shift the frequency of the reception signal by the frequency shift amount, a coherent addition unit configured to perform coherent addition of the reception signal, a spread code generation unit configured to generate a spread code, and a phase detection unit configured to perform correlation calculation between a calculation result of the coherent addition and the spread code and detect a phase of the spread code of the reception signal on the basis of the correlation calculation result.

Communication apparatus

A communication apparatus includes a Doppler shift amount calculation unit configured to calculate a Doppler shift amount of a reception signal which is received from an artificial satellite and is obtained by modulating a signal, for which spectrum spreading is performed by using a predetermined spread code, by a predetermined carrier frequency, a sampling interval setting unit configured to set a sampling interval, at which down sampling is performed for the reception signal, a down sampling unit configured to perform the down sampling for the reception signal, a coherent addition unit configured to perform coherent addition of the reception signal, a spread code generation unit configured to generate a spread code, and a phase detection unit configured to perform correlation calculation between a calculation result of the coherent addition and the spread code and detects a phase of the spread code of the reception signal.

A signal receiving apparatus includes: a processing unit configured to carry out Fourier transform on Fourier-transform data serving as a Fourier-transform object and carry out Fourier transform on inverse-Fourier-transform data serving as an inverse-Fourier-transform object; and a control unit configured to output pieces of data obtained as a result of the Fourier transform carried out on the Fourier-transform data in an order, in which the pieces of data have been obtained, in a process of outputting the pieces of data and output other pieces of data obtained as a result of the Fourier transform carried out on the inverse-Fourier transform data by rearranging the other pieces of data in a process of outputting the other pieces of data.

Disclosed herein is a receiving apparatus including a preamble analyzer configured to receive a frame of DVB-T2 made up of an OFDM signal and analyze a preamble contained in the received frame; an offset detector configured to detect a fine offset and a coarse offset on the basis of the analyzed preamble; a carrier frequency corrector configured to execute carrier frequency correction on an OFDM time domain signal obtained by quadrature demodulation on the basis of the detected fine offset and the detected coarse offset; a determiner configured to determine whether the detection of the coarse offset has been completed; and a control signal outputter configured, if the detection of the coarse offset is determined to be completed, to output a control signal for feeding back the fine offset detected on the basis of an OFDM frequency domain signal obtained by FFT computation to the carrier frequency corrector.

Receiving apparatus and method and program

A receiving apparatus for receiving an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal including a frame having one frame length of a plurality of patterns. The apparatus comprises an acquiring section to acquire information regarding a preamble signal from an OFDM signal from a transmitting apparatus; a frame determining section to determine whether the one frame length is short in the frame based on the information regarding the acquired preamble signal; and a time interpolating section to obtain transmission path characteristics by comparing a pilot contained in the preamble signal with a known pilot corresponding to the pilot in a phase of transmission, when the frame determining section determines that the one frame length is short in the frame, and to interpolate a data portion in a time direction based on transmission path characteristics.

A signal receiving apparatus includes: an acquisition section configured to acquire an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing signal resulting from combination of a plurality of signals transmitted by a plurality of signal transmitting apparatus by adoption of an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing method; and a demodulation section configured to carry out partial processing of processing to demodulate the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing signal acquired by the acquisition section by making use of either first pilot signals or second pilot signals where the first pilot signals are pilot signals extracted from the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing signal acquired by the acquisition section as signals having the same phase for all the signal transmitting apparatus, and the second pilot signals are pilot signals extracted from the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing signal acquired by the acquisition section as signals having different phases depending on the signal transmitting apparatus.
