A bra cup for a bra includes an inner layer of material configured to face a wearer's breast when the bra is worn and an outer layer of material configured to face away from the wearer when the bra is worn. An outer face of the inner layer of material is adjacent an inner face of the outer layer of material. A thin polymer web is disposed on the outer face of the inner layer of material. A bra including the bra cup and a method of manufacturing the bra cup are also disclosed.

A magnetic hook-type closure for a garment has male and female coupling elements and first and second magnets having a first and a second polarity, respectively. The male coupling element includes the first magnet and a hook having a sloped arm and the female coupling element has the second magnet and a recess having a sloped end. The first and second magnets are configured to pull the male coupling element and the female coupling element towards one another and the sloped arm of the hook is configured to engage with the sloped end of the recess to guide the male coupling element into engagement with the female coupling element.

A brassiere to be worn by a wearer is disclosed. The brassiere includes a pair of bra cups. The brassiere also includes at least one side wing attached to lateral peripheries of the pair of bra cups to support the brassiere around a torso of the wearer, when worn. The brassiere further includes a pair of straps attached to top peripheries of the pair of bra cups to support the brassiere on shoulders of the wearer, when worn. Herein, at least one of the at least one side wing and the pair of straps comprise one or more flat-knit fabric layers.

An absorbent garment has a pair of breast cups, each having a layer of moisture-wicking one-way transport material, an inner layer of absorbent terry cloth, an inner layer of foam, and an outer layer of water-resistant material. An inner face of the absorbent terry cloth is fully laminated to an outer face of the one-way transport material. An outer face of the absorbent terry cloth is fully laminated to an inner face of the foam. An outer edge of the one-way transport material is coupled to an outer edge of the foam. An outer face of the foam is fully laminated to an inner face of the water-resistant material. The absorbent terry cloth has an outer edge that does not extend to the outer edges of the one-way transport material or the foam such that the absorbent terry cloth is fully enclosed between the one-way transport material and the foam.

A garment comprises a main body including a front portion, a back portion, and a gusset connecting the front portion and the back portion. The gusset has left and right lateral edges partially defining respective left and right leg openings of the garment. A layer of absorbent material is coupled to an inner face of the main body at least at the gusset. A layer of waterproof material is sandwiched between the main body and the layer of absorbent material. Left and right elastic bands couple the layer of absorbent material and the layer of waterproof material to the main body along the respective left and right lateral edges of the gusset. A method for manufacturing the absorbent garment is also provided.

Absorbent garment and method of manufacture thereof

A garment includes a fabric portion having an inner face that is configured to contact a wearer's body while the garment is worn. The fabric portion is configured to be stretched while the garment is worn on the wearer's body. A coefficient of friction of the inner face of the fabric portion is greater while the fabric portion is stretched on the wearer's body than while the fabric portion is not stretched.

A portion of a bra, such as a bra wing or bra cup, includes a double-faced fabric made with a polyurethane-based elastomer yarn. A silicone pattern is printed on a first face of the fabric, and at least partially penetrates the first face. In a first zone on the first face of the fabric, the printed silicone pattern has a first surface density, and in a second zone it has a second surface density. The first surface density imparts a first elastic modulus to the fabric in the first zone, while the second surface density imparts a second elastic modulus to the fabric in the second zone that is different than the first elastic modulus. A plurality of zones can be provided in order to provide a smoothing and/or support effect to the portion of the bra.

A bra includes a pair of bra cups, each bra cup in the pair having an inner edge and an outer edge, the inner edges configured to be coupled to one another. The bra includes a pair of bra wings, each bra wing in the pair having a first end and a second end, each first end being coupled to an outer edge of each bra cup, respectively, and the second ends configured to be coupled to one another. At least one of the pair of bra cups and the pair of bra wings comprises a layer of fabric having intrinsically sticky fibers. The layer of fabric having intrinsically sticky fibers comprises an inner layer of the pair of bra cups and/or the pair of bra wings and contacts a wearer's skin while the bra is being worn, causing the bra to cling to the wearer's skin.
