An intelligent bicycle sharing system, or other vehicle sharing system, is able to provide helpful bicycle availability predictions based on historical data, including various utilization statistics. Historical data can be collected over time as users use the bicycle sharing system. For example, the historical data may include the number of available bicycles at various locations and times, as well as contextual data associated with the locations and times. Contextual data may include data regarding the weather, local events, season, day of the week or year, news events, among other environmental factors that may or may not influence bicycle utilization. In some embodiments, a model, such as a machine learning model (e.g., neural network) may be trained using the historical data as training data such that the model can predict bicycle availability for a certain future time and location.

Optimizing and predicting availability of resources in a shared vehicle environment

A provider, such as a transportation management service, can manage transport for a number of riders between various locations. A customer can request transport between different locations. The provider may analyze the request for salient information, such as information corresponding to a start and end location, and determine whether there are errors in the salient information that would prevent the provider from providing the requested service. When the provider detects errors, the provider may request additional information from the customer in order to correct the errors.

Ride request interactions

A system for delivering items or packages to an unattended vehicle after receiving an order for delivery of an item or package to a vehicle is disclosed. The system determines identifying information for the vehicle, where the identifying information includes a wireless identifier of the vehicle. The system determines a delivery location of the vehicle. The system transmits a request to dispatch a delivery vehicle to deliver a package to the vehicle, wherein the request comprises the identifying information and the delivery location.

Item delivery to an unattended vehicle

Various approaches allow for shared transportation reservations and related actions to be made based on a user's proximity to a shared transportation station. Data is received concerning the user's computing device, such as a vehicle, a mobile device, an internet-connected device, or a cellular network-connected device. Approaches can use a variety of data formats, including image data, location coordinates, or wirelessly-transmitted data. Based on such data and a criterion such as a threshold proximity to the station, the user's account status is determined and access to same authorized. Via the account, numerous actions may be taken, including automatically triggering a transport mode reservation or return, prompting the user to reserve or return the shared transportation, or debiting the user per a fee associated with the transportation reservation. Further, neural network techniques may be applied to train a model for generating related recommendations.

Proximity-based shared transportation reservations

A transportation platform interfaces with various entities of a transportation system, which may execute instances of a common transportation operating systems. Third-party applications access data and other transportation systems subject to regulatory restrictions of a government agency. Third party applications may perform useful functions and provide interfaces to users of the transportation system or administrators. Data from third-party applications may be added to a transportation database and used by other applications, such as according to purchase agreements.

Application marketplace for transportation services platform

An intelligent bicycle sharing system, or other vehicle sharing system, is able to provide helpful bicycle availability indications based on historical data and user proximity. Historical data can be collected over time as users use the bicycle sharing system. For example, the historical data may include how many bicycles are checked at out a given time and how many remain at a given location. In some embodiments, an indication may be provided to the user as the user approaches the vehicle sharing system. The indication may provide information regarding the availability of bicycles.

Providing indicators of availability in a shared vehicle environment

An activity tracker includes a device that includes a sensor component, a radio, a housing, and a removable portion. The sensor component is configured to obtain bicycle route information based on one or more sensors. The radio is configured to wirelessly communicate the bicycle route information to a remote computing device. The housing includes at least a portion of the sensor component and the radio. The removable portion includes a battery. The removable portion and the housing, when coupled, create a watertight seal to protect electronic components of the device.

An activity tracker includes a device that includes a sensor component, a radio, and a mounting member. The sensor component is configured to obtain bicycle route information based on information from one or more sensors. The sensor component detects pedal proximity and calculates a pedal rotation speed based on data provided by an integrated pedal cadence sensor. The radio is configured to wirelessly communicate the bicycle route information to a remote computing device. The mounting members are for mounting the device to a bicycle frame.

Systems, methods, and devices for frame-mounted pedal cadence sensor

A dolly includes an actuated platform and obstruction sensor as well as a camera and a depth sensor. The eye height of a user is determined according to outputs of the camera and depth sensor. The platform is then moved to an elbow height determined based on the eye height and the depth sensor is moved to a position above the platform. In response to detecting obstruction of the obstruction sensor, the platform is lowered. Upon completion of loading, the platform is lowered to a lowest position. A stand may be retracted upon lowering of the platform to its lowest position.

A vehicle and trailer display system is disclosed. The display system includes a plurality of imaging devices disposed on the vehicle, each having a field of view. The display system further includes a screen disposed in the vehicle operable to display images from the imaging devices. A controller is in communication with the imaging devices and the screen and is operable to receive a hitch angle corresponding to the angle between the vehicle and the trailer. Based on the hitch angle, the controller is operable to select a field of view of an imaging device to display on the screen.

A vehicle parking assist system includes at least one processor configured to establish communication with a parking automation system external to a vehicle to assist in a parking maneuver. The parking automation system includes at least one sensor to provide a measured distance value from an object to the vehicle. The processor is further configured to control a brake system of the vehicle based on the measured distance value via the sensor. The processor is further configured to control the vehicle to come to a stop based on the measured distance value being less than a first predefined threshold via the brake system.

Systems and methods for vehicle park assist

A parking system adaptively controlling a vehicle during a parking maneuver using a park assist system, for example an active park assist (APA) or trailer backup assist (TBA). Control of the park assist system based on previous speed profiles at a geographic location where the same park assist system was previously activated. The parking system including an activation system that, based on vehicle speed and geographic location, activates the park assist system when preconditions for park assist system operation are met. The activation system may cooperate with the park assist system based on default or previously stored drive history profiles associated with the current geographic location.

Automatic park and reminder system and method of use

A method or system for controlling a vehicle having auto stop and auto start functions includes selectively inhibiting or disabling the auto stop or auto start functions in response to a detected vehicle position relative to an automatically learned vehicle route. The vehicle route is learned in response to previous drive cycles.
