A tankless toilet includes a bowl, a trapway, and a jet. The bowl includes a rim at an upper portion of the bowl and a sump at a lower portion of the bowl. The trapway extends from the sump to a drain. The jet includes a main channel configured to receive a supply of water from a supply conduit, and a plurality of distribution channels configured to introduce water received from the main channel to at least one of the sump and the trapway. The jet is configured to receive the supply of water from the supply conduit at a first flow rate and induce a flow from the supply of water into the trapway at a second flow rate greater than the first flow rate to prime a siphon within the trapway. The second flow rate is greater than the first flow rate prior to priming the siphon.

Line pressure-driven, tankless, siphonic toilet

A toilet assembly includes a toilet body and a nozzle system. The toilet body defines a toilet bowl and a rim area disposed along an upper edge of the toilet bowl. The rim area includes a flange defining an opening. The nozzle system includes a nozzle having a first end configured to be fluidly coupled to a water supply conduit and a second end fluidly coupled to the rim area. The second end defines an outlet formed at a compound angle. The connector assembly detachably couples the nozzle to the flange such that the nozzle extends through the opening.

Rim jet nozzle system for toilets

A toilet includes a bowl and a vertically-elongated jet hole disposed within a portion of the bowl, near a top of the bowl between a rear of the bowl and a side of the bowl. The vertically-elongated jet hole is configured to direct flush water around an inner surface of the bowl to wash the inner surface of the bowl. The bowl does not include a rim that overhangs any portion of the bowl above the vertically-elongated jet hole.

Rimless toilet

A toilet includes a bowl having a vertically-elongated jet orifice near a top of the bowl that is designed to introduce flush water into the bowl from an interior water channel through a surface of an inner wall of the bowl, such that the flush water is directed around the inner wall of the bowl to wash the inner wall. The toilet also includes a shelf for directing the flush water. The toilet is a gravity-fed toilet that does not include an overhanging rim.

The present invention provides toilets having an outlet trapway that is movable during a flushing cycle. A toilet bowl has an opening adjacent its lower end. A conduit links to the opening so as to be able to swivel between a first upwardly directed position which forms a trap for the toilet, and a second less upwardly directed position which can be reached during the flushing cycle to facilitate evacuation of the toilet bowl. An actuator moves the conduit between the first and second positions during the flushing cycle in response to a condition of a water supply for the toilet, preferably without using electrical power to achieve this trapway movement.

Kinetic trapway

A flush valve for a toilet has a valve body with a flow passage that narrows non-linearly down from the valve seat. The flow passage is formed by a surface that follows a polynomial expression so as to define a computationally derived flow profile that more closely follows the narrowing exhibited by falling water as it accelerates under gravity. The non-linear flow profile of the valve reduces the presence of air in the valve after a flush cycle is initiated so that greater flush efficiency can be achieved. The flush valve can also have a wide mouth overflow that narrows to improve flow in an overflow situation.

Flush valve

A toilet has a trapway extending between a bowl opening and an outlet opening. The trapway defines a curved, preferably uniform circular cross-section water dam region above the bowl opening, a down leg, and a straight out leg between the down leg and the outlet opening. The down leg has a rearward slope where is located a horizontal baffle. The inclined down leg and horizontal baffle work in concert to prevent the back flow of air to a region above the dam as well as to facilitate rapid entrainment and evacuation of air below the dam.

Toilets with quick flush trapways

A toilet has a trapway extending between a bowl opening and an outlet opening. The trapway defines a curved water dam region above the bowl opening, a down leg, and a straight out leg between the down leg and the outlet opening. The out leg has an air dam cavity such that the trapway has an increased cross-sectional area at the air dam.

An attachment system for mounting a flush tank to a toilet bowl includes a bracket disposed between the tank and the bowl. The bracket has a generally planar body defining a central opening receiving a tubular flush extension extending from the tank into an opening in a bowl extension. The bracket is fastened to the tank by a large nut threaded to the tank extension. The bracket is mounted to the bowl at two slots opening at opposite side edges of the bracket by two bolts disposed through openings in the bowl extension. The bracket has a unitary pair of upwardly extending spring arms contacting the bottom wall of the flush tank and a unitary pair of lower spring arms contacting the bowl extension. The spring arms are deflectable between the flush tank and the toilet bowl to accommodate for warping or mold variations between the tank and the bowl.
