A network device may determine that a user equipment is entering a first frequency band coverage area provided by the network device and may determine that the user equipment is a power sensitive device or a narrow band device. The network device may receive multiple carrier information associated with the network device based on determining that the user equipment is a power sensitive device or a narrow band device. The network device may process the multiple carrier information, with a machine learning model, to determine a quantity of repetitions to extend uplink coverage for the user equipment and may enable the quantity of repetitions to extend the uplink coverage for the user equipment.

The service may dynamically reconfigure admission control information of an end device. An Internet of Things (IoT) device may receive a network configuration profile including one or more parameters relating to a scan interval and a mode priority of the IoT device indicating a priority for a first IoT network over a second IoT network. The IoT device may scan for an availability of the first IoT network. Based on determining that the first IoT network is unavailable, the IoT device may scan for an availability of the second IoT network. Based on determining that the second IoT network is available, the IoT device may initiate a network connection with the second IoT network. While connected to the second IoT network, the IoT device may scan for the availability of the first IoT network. Based on determining that the first IoT network is available, the IoT device may initiate a network connection with the first IoT network.

Method and device for selecting a network mode for an internet of things device

A user device may be provisioned with a list of paths for connecting to a network. A method may include determining that the user device has attached to a visited network and sending the visited network an indication of connectivity capabilities associated with the network. The method may include receiving an indication of one or more paths established from the visited network to the network based on capabilities of the visited network. The one or more paths may be included in the list of paths. The method may include transmitting data to or from the user device via a first path of the one or more paths.

Automatic path selection for devices in roaming data networks

A device may determine that an application server requires an IPv6 address of a user equipment, and may provide, to another network device, a request for the IPv6 address of the user equipment, wherein the request includes data identifying an IP address of the network device and a port of the network device, and wherein the request is to cause the other network device to provide the request for the IPv6 address to the user equipment via a SMS request message, and receive, from the user equipment, data identifying the IPv6 address and a port of the user equipment via a SMS response message. The network device may receive, from the other network device, a response that includes the data identifying the IPv6 address and the port of the user equipment, and may store the data identifying the IPv6 address and the port of the user equipment.

Systems and methods for acquiring an internet protocol network address of a user equipment in networks

A device may send a first message to a user device requesting information identifying a radio access technology (RAT) or a band supported by and enabled on the user device. The device may receive an indication of the RAT or band supported by and enabled on the user device and send, to the user device, a second message instructing the user device to modify the RAT or band enabled on the user device. The second message may include an indication of updated RAT or band information. The device may receive from the user device, a confirmation that the RAT or band enabled on the user device has been modified.

Dynamic modification of device band and radio access technology information

A base station may cause a user equipment (UE) to be connected to a network, wherein an attach request message, that is used to connect the UE to the network, includes one or more eligibility parameters for a connection release service. The base station may determine, based on the one or more eligibility parameters, that the UE is to receive the connection release service. The base station may provide, to the UE, a connection release message that is provided based on determining that the UE is to receive the connection release service. The base station may receive, from the UE, a connection release acknowledgement message that indicates that the connection release message has been received by the UE. The base station may perform one or more actions associated with changing a state of the UE based on receiving the connection release acknowledgement message.
