A building management system (BMS) includes building equipment operable to affect a physical state or condition of a building, a gateway device coupled to the building equipment, and a network adapter removably coupled to the gateway device. The network adapter couples the gateway device to a cloud-based platform. The cloud-based platform is configured to receive building data from the gateway device via the network adapter, and includes a hub to receive the building data and a plurality of cloud applications configured to receive the building data from the hub and process the building data to provide a building data output. The cloud-based platform is configured to communicate the building data output to and receive a command based on the building data from at least one of a control application, an analytic application, or a monitoring application. The gateway device is further configured to operate according to the command.

Building management system with exchangeable communication interfaces

A building management system (BMS) includes building equipment operable to affect a physical state or condition of a building coupled to a gateway device configured to communicate building data from the building equipment to a cloud-based platform according to a data control template configured to control a data rate between the gateway device and the cloud-based platform. The cloud-based platform includes a hub to generate a virtual device twin comprising the data control template and configured to receive the building data and represent the gateway device on the cloud-based platform, as well as plurality of cloud applications configured to provide a building data output. The gateway device further configured to operate according to the command.

Systems and methods for data control in a building management system

A building management system includes one or more processing circuits. The one or more processing circuits are configured to receive, from a physical building device of a building, environmental inputs and environmental outputs of the physical building device; generate a building device digital twin for the physical building device based on the received environmental inputs and the received environmental outputs; generate a predicted future performance of the physical building device based on the building device digital twin; and generate a recommendation based on the predicted future performance of the physical building device, the recommendation indicating one or more changes to implement on the physical building device. The building device digital twin is a model for predicting the behavior of the physical building device ore changes to implement on the physical building device.

A device for use in a building management system (BMS) includes a base hardware component that provides communication between the equipment and a first network associated with the BMS. The base hardware component includes a processor and a memory. The coordinating device is configured to determine a current state, assign tasks for performing control specified by a control application to the plurality of distributed controllers, and broadcast a plurality of parameters. The plurality of distributed controllers are configured to perform the control specified by the control application. Each distributed controller is configured to receive a respective task, perform a respective control operation, and control an edge device using a control signal generated from the control operation.

Such interaction may be facilitated with a smart headset that displays a three-dimensional model of an image with real-time data from the BMS to enable monitoring and control of the BMS. In one implementation, a system for locating a target in a building includes a server, a first wireless emitter, and an application on a mobile device. The first wireless emitter is associated with the target and configured to emit a first emitter identifier within a first range. The application is configured to detect the first emitter identifier when the mobile device is within the first range. The application is also configured to transmit the first emitter identifier to the server in response to detecting the first emitter identifier. The application is also configured to receive a first content from the server.
