A user equipment (UE) may attempt to access an edge data network. The UE generates a first credential based on a second credential, the second credential generated for a procedure between the UE and a cellular network, generating an identifier corresponding to the first credential, and generates a multi-access edge computing (MEC) authorization parameter. The UE then transmits an application registration request message to a server associated with an edge data network, the application registration request message including an indication of the first credential, the identifier corresponding to the first credential and the first authorization parameter. The UE then receives an authentication accept message or an authentication reject message from the server associated with the edge data network.

The UE may perform operations including transmitting an indication of user consent to a first network. The user consent corresponds to a network function acquiring UE information. Systems and methods are provided for public land mobile network (PLMN) selection for disaster roaming. A user equipment (UE) determines a disaster condition at a first PLMN, where the UE is a subscriber of the first PLMN. The UE determines an availability of a second PLMN for disaster roaming. The UE selects the second PLMN and attempts registration on the second PLMN for disaster roaming. In response to attempting the registration on the second PLMN for disaster roaming, the UE receives a registration reject message including a cause value corresponding to a registration failure for disaster roaming on the second PLMN due to the disaster condition on the first PLMN. The UE waits for a first period of time before again attempting to register for disaster roaming on the second PLMN for the first PLMN with the disaster condition.

An approach is described for a base station to generate a first message and a second message. The base station transmits the first message and the second message to a user equipment (UE). The first message is associated with a cell supported by the base station and includes a first public land mobile network (PLMN) identity index and a first list of one or more network slices supported by a first PLMN associated with the first PLMN identity index. The second message is associated with one or more neighboring cells, and includes the first PLMN identity index and a second list of one or more network slice data associated the first PLMN as supported by the one or more neighboring cells. Network slicing with radio access network (RAN) sharing

Systems and methods for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality are disclosed herein. An TAB node includes a distributed unit (DU) having a local application instance of a MEC-enabled application. The local application instance is configured for communication with a first user equipment (UE) connected to the TAB node. A mobile termination functionality (MT) of the IAB node uses a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer to transport data of the local application instance between the MT and an IAB donor. Further, data of the local application instance is transported between the UE and the TAB node via one of a variety of methods, including the use of a second PDCP layer at the DU (and optionally the use of service data adaptation protocol (SDAP) layers at each of the DU and the MT), and/or via sidelink.

Systems and methods for IAB MEC

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for Reflective Quality of Service (RQoS) enhancements. Methods may include enhancements for both UE behavior and network function behavior. Network function behaviors may include enhancements to UPF behavior and SPF behavior. Enhancements to RQoS may include methods for resetting an RQoS indicator (RQI) bit for downlink packets of a flow destined for a UE, methods for generating a flow ID to include in a SDAP header destined for a UE, methods for using the flow ID to limit L3 and L4 header parsing, methods for sending/receiving feedback regarding processing of the RQI bit, methods for maintaining a QFI mapping table, methods for skipping parsing of SDAP header fields, methods for specifying and signaling a QoS Flow Identifier (QFI) range to a UE, methods for limiting downlink header parsing, methods for updating a QFI, and methods for performing high efficiency RQoS processing.

This disclosure relates to techniques for providing broadcast and multicast services to wireless devices while in Idle and Inactive modes a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish a wireless link with a cellular base station of a cellular network. The wireless device may receive information indicating whether provision of a broadcast or multicast service in one or more of an inactive mode or an idle mode is supported by the cellular network. The wireless device may receive the broadcast or multicast service in one or more of the inactive mode or the idle mode based at least in part on the information indicating whether provision of the broadcast or multicast service in one or more of the inactive mode or the idle mode is supported by the cellular network.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancement of MBMS transmission reliability. A UE may receive PDCP PDUs via a PTM link from a network. The UE may determine to provide feedback regarding receipt of the PDCP PDUs, e.g., based, at least in part, on an occurrence of a triggering event. The triggering event may be configured by the network and may include the UE receiving a request for feedback from the network, the UE determining that at least one PDCP PDU is missing, the UE determining that a number of missing PDCP PDUs exceeds a threshold, and/or the UE determining that a PDCP reordering window is changing based on expiration of a PDCP reordering timer. The UE may transmit feedback associated with receipt of the PDCP PDUs. The feedback may include an indication of missing PDCP PDUs, e.g., such as an indication of a sequence number associated with missing PDCP PDUs.

MBMS transmission reliability enhancement

A base station may restrict access by a user equipment (UE). The base station broadcasts access restrictions to one or more UE within a cell coverage area of the base station, wherein the access restrictions include one or more predetermined criteria that must be satisfied for a UE to be allowed to camp on the base station. The base station performs a random access channel (RACH) procedure to allow the UE to camp on the base station when the UE satisfies the one or more predetermined criteria.

Base station, user equipment and corresponding methods for redirection from GSM edge radio access network (GERAN) bands to evolved UMTS terrestrial radio access network (EUTRAN) bands (as amended)

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.

Systems and methods for configuring communication with an IAB MEC

An approach is described for a user equipment (UE) comprising a transceiver configured to enable wireless communication with a second UE and a wireless device and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor is configured receive, from the second UE, an end-to-end (E2E) quality of service (QoS) requirement of an E2E connection between the second UE and the wireless device, wherein the E2E connection includes a first hop between the UE and the second UE and a second hop between the UE and the wireless device. The processor is further configured to obtain a first hop link condition and a second hop link condition; split the E2E QoS requirement into a first hop QoS requirement and a second hop QoS requirement based on the first hop link condition and the second hop link condition; and transmit, using the transceiver, the first hop QoS requirement to the second UE. The wireless device is a third UE or a base station.
