In a first control state, it is determined which one of a first failure pattern (FP) and a second failure pattern (FP) is a failure pattern (FT), and in a second control state, it is determined which one of a first lower-stage-side failure pattern (LF) and a second lower-stage-side failure pattern (LF) is a lower-stage-side failure pattern (LF), and it is determined which one of a set of upper-stage-side arms of a first inverter (), a set of lower-stage-side arms of the first inverter (), a set of upper-stage-side arms of a second inverter (), and a set of lower-stage-side arms of the second inverter () is failure-side arms, based on a result of the determination in the first control state and a result of the determination in the second control state.

Rotating electrical machine control device

A rotating electrical machine control device shifts a control system to synchronous five-pulse control when an operating point crosses a second boundary from a state in which asynchronous pulse-width modulation control is being executed, and shifts the control system to the asynchronous pulse-width modulation control when the operating point crosses a first boundary from a state in which the synchronous five-pulse control is being executed. The first boundary is set such that the number of switching pulses per unit rotational speed by the synchronous five-pulse control immediately before the operating point crosses the first boundary is smaller than the number of the switching pulses per unit rotational speed by the asynchronous pulse-width modulation control immediately after the operating point crosses the first boundary.

When a difference between a first wave height value of a current flowing through a first direct-current power supply and a second wave height value of a current flowing through a second direct-current power supply is greater than or equal to a determination threshold value and the first wave height value is larger than the second wave height value, a control part in a rotating electrical machine control system determines that a first smoothing capacitor has an open-circuit failure, and when a difference between the first wave height value and the second wave height value is greater than or equal to the determination threshold value and the second wave height value is larger than the first wave height value, the control part determines that a second smoothing capacitor has an open-circuit failure.

Rotating electrical machine control system

A control part determines that a contactor is in an open state, based on a voltage at both ends of a smoothing capacitor and a current flowing through a direct-current power supply. In a state in which rotational speed is greater than or equal to a speed threshold value, the control part controls both inverters by shutdown control and brings both contactors into an open state. After the rotational speed reaches less than the speed threshold value, the control part controls a failure-side inverter by active short-circuit control, and drives a normal-side inverter using discharge torque of a smoothing capacitor. After eliminating an abnormal voltage state, the control part controls a normal contactor to a closed state and drives a rotating electrical machine by one of the inverters.

A rotary electric machine control apparatus () suitably controls two inverters () connected to associated ends of open windings (). The rotary electric machine control apparatus () performs target control involving: controlling a first one of the inverters (), which is selected from a first inverter () and a second inverter (), by rectangular wave control; and controlling a second one of the inverters () by special pulse width modulation control that is one type of pulse width modulation control. The special pulse width modulation control is a control method to produce a switching pattern (Su+) that is based on a difference between a switching pattern resulting from the pulse width modulation control and a switching pattern (Su+) resulting from the rectangular wave control when a target voltage is to be generated in the open windings ().

Rotary electric machine control apparatus

A rotating electrical machine control system () whose control target is an alternating-current rotating electrical machine () including M coil sets () includes M inverters () each including a plurality of switching elements () and connected to a direct-current power supply () and one of the coil sets () to convert electric power between a direct current and alternating currents of N phases; M current sensors () each provided for each coil set () to detect an alternating current of each phase flowing through the coil set (); and an inverter control device () that generates switching control signals (S) for controlling the plurality of switching elements (). The inverter control device () performs current feedback control of the rotating electrical machine () using all detection values for each of N phases obtained by the M current sensors (), to generate the switching control signals (S) common to the M inverters ().

Two inverters () provided at respective both ends of open-end windings () are appropriately controlled. As control regions (R) of a rotating electrical machine (), a first speed region (VR) and a second speed region (VR) in which the rotational speed of the rotating electrical machine () is higher than in the first speed region (VR) for the same torque are set, and in the second speed region (VR), a rotating electrical machine control device () controls both inverters (), a first inverter () and a second inverter (), by mixed pulse width modulation control in which control is performed such that a plurality of pulses with different patterns are outputted during a first period (T) which is a half cycle of electrical angle, and an inactive state continues during a second period (T) which is the other half cycle.

A rotating electrical machine control system that controls an alternating-current rotating electrical machine having two coil sets of an N phase arranged on the same stator core includes a first inverter, a second inverter, and an inverter control device that individually controls the two inverters such that currents of different phases flow through the two coil sets. The inverter control device stops the second inverter and performs switching control of the first inverter to convert electric power between a direct current and an alternating current of an N phase, or performs switching control of the two inverters to convert electric power between a direct current and alternating currents of 2N phases. Switching devices included in the first inverter have a shorter transition time between an off state and an on state and smaller switching loss than switching devices included in the second inverter.

A vehicle drive device () is disclosed that includes a shift detent mechanism (); an actuator () that generates drive power for allowing the shift detent mechanism to operate; a sensor () that generates sensor information indicating an amount of operation of the shift detent mechanism; a control part () that controls the actuator; and a clutch () that is synchronized with operation of the shift detent mechanism, and when the control part changes a state of the clutch, the control part performs feedback control of the actuator based on a relationship between a target value for an amount of operation of the shift detent mechanism and the sensor information, and before completing the change in the state of the clutch, the feedback control ends and operation of the actuator stops.

Vehicle drive device and control device

Two inverters provided at respective both ends of open-end windings are appropriately controlled. A rotating electrical machine control device () that can control a first inverter () and a second inverter () by a plurality of control schemes, respectively, the control schemes differing from each other in at least one of a switching pattern and a switching frequency and being independent of each other, has a control mode in which the first inverter () and the second inverter () are controlled by the same control scheme in a first speed region (VR) in which the rotational speed of a rotating electrical machine (), and the first inverter () and the second inverter () are controlled by different control schemes in a second speed region (VR) in which the rotational speed of the rotating electrical machine () is higher than in the first speed region (VR).

An inverter control device that includes an electronic control unit that is configured to perform full active short circuit control when the contactors are in an open state and the rotating electrical machine is in a rotating state, the full active short circuit control bringing an upper-stage-side switching element and a lower-stage-side switching element for at least one phase among switching elements for a plurality of phases in the inverter into an on state to allow current to flow back between the rotating electrical machine and the inverter.

Inverter control device

Two inverters provided at both ends of each open-end winding, respectively, are appropriately controlled. A rotating electrical machine control device () that has at least two control schemes among pulse width modulation control, active short-circuit control, and rectangular-wave control, as control schemes for a first inverter () and a second inverter (), and that can control the first inverter () and the second inverter () by control schemes which are independent of each other considers one of the plurality of control schemes as a first control scheme and one of the plurality of control schemes different than the first control scheme as a second control scheme, and has a control mode in which the first inverter () is controlled by the first control scheme and the second inverter () is controlled by the second control scheme.

An inverter control device that controls an inverter connected to a direct-current power supply and connected to an alternating-current rotating electrical machine to convert electric power between direct current and alternating current of a plurality of phases, the inverter control device including an electronic control unit that is configured to perform, in a state in which one switching element of a plurality of switching elements included in the inverter has a turn-off failure in which the switching element always goes into an off state, torque reduction control for reducing torque of the rotating electrical machine or deceleration control for outputting torque in a reverse direction from a rotation direction of the rotating electrical machine by performing switching control of the plurality of switching elements.

An inverter control device that controls an inverter as a control target, the inverter being connected to a direct-current power supply and connected to an alternating-current rotating electrical machine so as to convert power between direct current and alternating current of a plurality of phases, and the inverter having an arm for each alternating-current phase, the arm including a series circuit of an upper-stage switching element and a lower-stage switching element, the inverter control device including an electronic control unit.

A power conversion device that includes an inverter circuit in which arms are connected in parallel to each other between a DC positive terminal and a DC negative terminal in accordance with a number of phases of alternating currents of the plurality of phases, the arms for respective phases each including two switch sections that are connected in series and to be brought into conduction in an on state and out of conduction in an off state, and a connection point between the two switch sections of each of the arms is set as an AC input or output point of each phase; and a controller that outputs switching control signals for performing switching control on the switch sections.
