A medical device comprising, a handle body, a flexible shaft coupled to a distal end of the handle body, a distal tip coupled to a distal end of the shaft and including a movable element, and an actuator coupled to the handle body and configured, upon actuation, to move the movable element, wherein the actuator includes a first contact element having outer contact surfaces each configured for contact by a finger of a user, each of the outer contact surfaces being at least one of angled and recessed relative to the other outer contact surfaces to provide a plurality of positions of contact between the finger and the actuator.

A system for treating tissue including a clip assembly including a pair of clip arms, a proximal end of each of the clip arms slidably received within a channel of a capsule and moveable between a tissue receiving configuration and a tissue clipping configuration. The system also including an applicator releasably coupleable to the clip assembly, the applicator including a control member connectable to the proximal end of each of the clip arms and a locking sleeve coupleable to a proximal end of the capsule via a deflectable tab including an engaging structure configured to engage a corresponding engaging structure at the proximal end of the capsule and a releasing structure proximal of the engaging structure, the releasing structure engagable with a portion of the control member to deflect the deflectable member and disengage the engaging structure of the locking sleeve from the corresponding engaging structure of the capsule.

Hemostasis reloadable clipping device with sleeve engagement

A medical device that includes a handle including a plurality of actuators. The handle defines a longitudinal axis extending through a distal end of the handle. The device includes a shaft extending from the handle and an end effector at a distal end of the shaft. A first actuator of the plurality of actuators is configured to actuate the end effector in response to translation of the first actuator relative to the handle along an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis. A second actuator of the plurality of actuators is configured to deflect the end effector relative to the shaft in response to pivoting the second actuator about an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis. A third actuator of the plurality of actuators is configured to rotate the end effector relative to the shaft in response to rotation of the third actuator relative to the handle about the longitudinal axis.

Medical device handle assemblies and methods of using the same

A clipping system includes a pusher element, a holder mounted over an insertion device and clips stacked along a length of the holder. The holder includes a longitudinally channel. Each clip extends along a curvature defining a tissue-receiving space therewithin and extends about the holder with an exterior surface of the holder holding the clip open with the first and second ends of the clip separated from one another to receive a tissue therein. Each clip is independently deployable from the holder so that, upon release of the clip from the holder, the clip reverts to a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the first and second ends are moved toward one another to reduce a size of the tissue-receiving space so that tissue is gripped therewithin. The element is mounted over the holder and moved distally along the holder to independently deploy each clips.

Repositionable over the scope clip

An elongated tissue traction device adhered to target tissue and configured to lift the target tissue away from surrounding tissue. The tissue traction device may lift the target tissue as a surgical procedure is performed, such as resecting or cutting of the target tissue. The tissue traction device may be a bistable spring. The tissue traction device is in a first stable configuration when initially adhered to the target tissue. The tissue traction device may be shifted (e.g., actuated) into the second configuration, such as when the tissue is resected or cut around the target tissue to which the tissue traction device is adhered. In the second stable configuration, the tissue traction device curls and lifts the target tissue from the surrounding tissue.

A medical device that includes a body and an arm extending from the body and configured to receive a first device such that the first device is suspended relative to the body. Translation of the arm relative to the body is configured to move the first device relative to the body. A device for draining cysts includes a catheter system configured to deploy an absorbent material, including but not limited to a foam, into a cyst. The absorbent material advantageously absorbs fluid contained within the cyst, for example fluid that may remain following aspiration, reducing the potential for cyst recurrence. In various embodiments, the absorbent material may be bioabsorbable, radiolucent, echogenic, drug eluting, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments the device may further include or be coupled to a vacuum source which applies negative pressure to the cyst during foam delivery, thereby reduce the overall size and/or profile of the cyst.

A medical device includes a handle with a proximal arm and a distal arm. The proximal arm and the distal arm are pivotable via a joint. The medical device also includes a tube coupled to the distal arm and a drive wire. A distal portion of the drive wire includes an expandable end effector. A portion of the drive wire is positioned within the tube, and a different portion of the drive wire extends proximally of the distal arm and is coupled to the proximal arm.

A medical device includes a handle, a shaft extending from the handle, and an articulation member integral with or attached to a distal end of the shaft. A medical device, for example a delivery catheter, may include a handle portion, a shaft portion extending distally from the handle portion, a deployment mechanism, and an actuation member positioned on the handle portion. The shaft portion may include a working channel and a distal tip portion having a payload chamber configured to receive a payload, such as a bio-absorbable foam. The distal tip portion may be operatively connected to the working channel. The deployment mechanism may be positioned in the working channel, and may be operable to deploy the payload out from the distal tip portion. The actuation member may be actuatable to operate the deployment mechanism.

A medical device may include a handle including a fixed body and a movable body. The movable body may be movable relative to the fixed body. The medical device may include a shaft extending from the fixed body and an end effector at a distal end of the shaft. Rotation of the movable body relative to the fixed body may permit rotation of the end effector relative to the shaft, and rotation of the movable body with rotation of the fixed body may permit rotation of the end effector with the shaft. Deflection of the movable body relative to the fixed body may permit deflection of the end effector relative to the fixed body.

A medical device that includes a handle, a sheath extending from the handle, and a tool within the sheath and movable relative to the sheath. The handle includes an inner body and an outer body disposed over the inner body. The outer body is movable relative to the inner body. The handle includes a first actuator secured to the tool. The first actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the tool relative to the sheath in response to moving the outer body relative to the inner body. The handle includes a second actuator secured to the sheath. The second actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the sheath relative to the tool in response to moving the second actuator relative to the outer body. An unactuated state of the first actuator and an unactuated state of the second actuator prevents movement of the tool relative to the sheath.
